hey gang
rain, rain go away! ducks and frogs are the only ones having a good time down here right now. oh well, as long as it clears off for the weekend it won't matter.
anyway, still a couple of details to work out but almost done. looks like we should have a great turnout of cobras! dick, i;m really sorry to hear about your wife. i hope she is ok and that everything works out. keep me posted.
be sure you make your reservations with the ramada inn, 361 882-8100. be sure you tell them that you are with the texas cobra club. rate is $59 for a double double.
tailgate party at my shop will start at 5pm friday. i will be off running errands during the day. to reach me you can call my cell 361 549-9525.
cobras will meet at the ford dealership at 9am saturday morning.
cobras will leave for the cruise at 12pm and return to the event center by 5pm.
all other cars will go to the event center by2pm.
show will run until 10pm.
food will be available at the event center for participants.
on wednesday i will give out directions to all locations. if you have a question on anything i haven't covered please list and i will answer.

Paul; Kathy and I can't make it this weekend, even though we planned for it. Too many "things" have surfaced for Friday and Saturday. So I hope the weather clears up for everyone so that you all can have a fun cruise together. We'll try for the next Corpus gathering.

wow, not sure what this bright yellow thing is in the sky! gosh i'm glad to see the sun. appears that we will have a dry weekend. i think i might finally have the details worked out for the event. long story. i hope things change ed. you've been at just about every other event of late, so i'll miss you down here. final details tomorrow.

Paul - I'm driving in Saturday morning. I'll be leaving Houston at o'dark thirty to arrive at the Ford dealership by 9am. Is it the Crosstown Ford on Ayers?
And also, how safe is it to leave my car at the Ramada Saturday night? I have two ways to disable the car, as well I'll have a full car cover over it.

hey guys
scott, yes it is the dealership on ayers. directions will be listed below. there is no need for you to leave your car outside. there will be a secure place for you on saturday night.
directions:
those coming in from san antonio-houston.
when you come in on I 37 you will exit on hy 358/south padre island drive. the sign will say nas/ccad.
to reach crosstown ford you will go about 5-6 miles and exit ayers/hy 286. at the stop light you will turn left on ayers and go about 1/2 mile and the dealership will be on your left.
to reach my shop you will stay on south padre island drive/hy358 and continue another 3 miles an exit staples. turn right. you will go about 1 mile. turn left on holly. go to the outside lane and you will see an entrance into the shopping center on your right. the building has a 4-w on it . after you enter the parking lot go back to your left and you will see a number of warehouse looking buildings. mine is e-3. you will probably see cars parked around it. if you need help call my cell 361 549-9525.

ok guys
sorry for posting so late. be nice not to have a job or two so that i could get things done. anyway the show is set. still a couple of things to do. i'll be playing hooky from school friday to finish getting things ready, so if you need to reach me call the cell 361 549-9525.
pizza for those that make it to my shop by 6:30, aftr that you get left overs. for saturday, as there may be early birds coming in for the other classes of cars we need to plan on getting to the dealership before 9. i will be at my shop at 8:15 saturday morning and we will leave from there at 8:30.
as the temperature will range from 50's to high 70's bring appropriate clothes. bring mosquito spray and sun shade. bring your own chairs. those that will need race gas let me know. i have 10 gallons in my shop. they sell the gas until 5 friday and 9-12 saturday.
directions to fiesta square event center: the easiest way to direct is if you come in on I 37 you stay on 37 and it dead ends to shorline blvd. turn right and go almost 1 mile and then turn right on born street. go one block and you will see the building in front of you. tan with palm trees painted on it.
can't think of anything else right now.
