What's the beef?
After lurking around the list for a few months, and posting once or twice, I've got to ask: Why do some replica guys bag on the FFR cars?

You Got Me!
I have just as much fun driving my FFR as those high priced replica dudes, and I have spare change in my pocket. There is always someone who has a better and faster Cobra than the next guy. I still get the looks, the "thumbs up", and the "awsome" responses as the next Cobra. Just remember, FFR has been around a long time, and I would venture to say that there are more FFRs on the road than the other brand names. Agreed the other brands are more expensive, and you get what you pay for. Depending on who built the FFR, FFR is still a good running replica Cobra.

Certain people..
Are going to sneer at any cobra that does not appear 100% original. Just buy the cobra that makes ya happy and enjoy...

Beats me, maybe some FF owners have a chip on their shoulders?? I can tell you that the cars they had on display at their Sema booth
the workmanship was top flight. Anybody would be proud to own one. On the other hand I saw a couple FF at DVSF that if I was a cop I would have had pulled off the road on
a flat bed. I think that may be it?? Some FF
cars aren't put together as well as they should be.

All members are fair game around here!!
Guys,
One thing is for sure, if you are in the TCC you better be ready for some flack, especially if we like you!! We don't descriminate, and EVERYBODY gets their fair share, just ask the guy with the most "caruretors" in the group.......we elected him president!!
We have cars that run the gamut from probably every manufacturer out there in this club, and I am not aware that we single anyone out, shoot any Cobra is much better than none (well, almost!).
Just enjoy what you have and the flack you get!

FFR Invasion
Look out TCC members, the FFRs are coming! I know of two being built in Austin, and three in San Antonio. I bet they all will be arriving at our next spring meet.

I don't think most folks treat FFR owners any different.
A good number of them race the pants off those things!!!
I respect that.
IMHO....They are quite a few Cobra owners on the other end of the Cobra Spectrum that should be ragged on.

Well, this was certainly a pleasant conversation. I expected a whole lot more debate over the issue. Glad to hear the general consensuses is positive. I belong to a Land Cruiser club here in Dallas. Ya'll sound to be just like us, Everyone is fair game! And most often, the guys who are well respected catch the most flack! I actually drove out to Mesquite last Sunday, and was planning to come chew the fat with you guys. I had a buddy with me, and he had his 3 year old son. His son was not in one of his better moods, so once it started to rain on us as we were checking out the 2 Cobras that were there, I thought it better to just head home. Looking forward to next month!

I bought mine to drive...and that's that. I hear crap every once in a while but it's usually from people who have heard things and never seen anything for themselves. If you're building for performance I would have to say FFR's a top choice. If you're building for authenticity shop elsewhere...
The cars relatively lightweight and most parts can be bought at the local ford dealership. I have no regrets...it fits my budget and I can make what I want of it... There's a wide variety of finish options as well...from suspension to powerplant and brakes....all teh way down to the creature comforts.
No chip here...happy to play with anyone...
