Texascobraclub.com - 30,000 hits
Well, kids - I just noticed that the hit odometer for the web site for our little Cobra Club just passed 30,000 hits. I believe this calculates to about a thousand hits a month.
Tonight, I just added Flyin_Freddie Rice and his pal Brian Sullivan from Memphis to our membership. We now have more members in Tennessee than we do in Waco & Lubbock combined??
Last week, I added a link on the "Events Photos" link to the SCAT web site and the "Texas 289" courtesy of Bobbie Worley. This event was really a SCAT event, but a lot TCC participation and leadership. I try to keep changing things around and adding things so that Texascobraclub.com stays fresh and interesting, but the mortgage bidness has kept me far too busy for too many months.
Again, TCC members - this "YOUR" website and suggestions are always welcome. If you want pics of Tom's dogs, I can do that. Dennis, Paul and Matt keep e-mailing me for a link to the Aggie War Hymn - but have resisted that.
You guys have a good holiday season and see ya in Austin.

UT version of Aggie War Hymn
We are a bunch of country hicks,
We are a bunch of country hicks.
We really are a bunch of country hicks,
We feel at home when we are in the sticks,
We thunk we are fairly good at farmin'
We sure ain't no good at thut there book larning'
They call our school a university,
It's a lot more like a clink, clinkity clink.
Attending it sure is an adversity.
Enough to make you want to take a little drink
Take a little drink. Maybe take a great big drink.
Fish really envy all those Senior coots,
They get to wear them protective boots.
Slick spots you step on in the barnyard soil,
Are very, very, very seldom oil.
They tell us the flies of Texas are upon us,
Our campus barnyard really stinks, stinks like heck!
Conditions there are very odorous.
Enough to make you want to take a little drink,
Take a little drink. Maybe take two great big drinks.
We'll save our money, put it in a soil bank,
We'll now forget the words [-pause-]

We'll get paid if we don't raise any wheat. Hey!

OK Alan, now you have done it! As el AGGIE presidente, I must subject you to very harsh punishment.....
Paul, Ryan, Bull, Vicki, Matt and all the other Aggies, I am open to your suggestions for a fitting punishment!

I apologize if I offend anyone, but I figure if 70,000 fans at a football game can get up and sing it , it's okay for the forum.

Cow Manure
To the tune of "Spirit of Aggieland"
Cow manure may be impure
But of this you may be sure,
When it's time to fertilize
It's the one that wins the prize.
Walking through the barnyard through slime and ooze
Is how the Aggies shine their shoes.
No shoe polish is sold in Bryan
Because of the Aggies special shine.
Cleaning the barnyard and pulling plows
Slopping the hogs and milking cows,
Are some of the courses selected from
The A & M curriculum.
Courses in building outdoor pots
Are flunked by lots and lots,
But those who pass it with A's and B's
Are awarded PHD's.
(all in good fun)
ps. Aggies, were any of you CT's or BQ's ???
(Corp TURDS or Band QUEERS for those who do not speak Aggie-ese... it's their terms, not UT's!!!)
pss... doing a fine job with this website forum

Nope...
Not a CT or BQ or a Frat boy...I went there because I had spent a lot of time at Texas World Speedway with SCCA and CVAR and I enjoyed the town. Loved the whole experience...can't imagine going anywhere else.

Good Job, Dick!!
Dick,
Good job on the web site! It's cool we have a growing contingent from Tennessee, but it really might be too windy to even keep a car as light as a Cobra on the ground!
Since I grew up in the "Hub city", staying in West Texas untill I graduated from Tech(or they threw me out- I don't remember), all I can say is " Keep the Guns UP, Beat Oklahoma"!!
I have a sneaking feeling I am going to be watching TBS this Saturday around 6:00pm! Geez, if we can only capture the magic we had against Texas last week................
