Hey Guys,
If any of you call to make room reservations and they tell that we are sold out - please post a note here on the forum and I will contact the hotel to get some more rooms for our group.
Unless this fails(and I was assurred there would be no room problems) there is no reason to go to the other hotels in the area!!!

Good job, Dee!
Dee,
This is the kind of planning forethought that makes an event flow smoothly!
Congratulations on a job well done in landing the hotel. I plan on doing this again, face to face, IN A MONTH!!!!!!!!

Hell....I'll go John one better...
Dee...I'm plannin' on bringing you one or two "adult beverages". Please make sure you look me up in the parking lot....I'll be the one with the blue car with white stripes!
Guys...seriously...I'm really looking forward to this trip....I need it right now and look forward to meeting you all...and having the occassional 'adult beverage' as I mentioned. Hope the weather cooperates....barring anything unforeseen, this appears to be about the only thing that could impact my attendance at this point...well, that and the continued production of 'adult beverages'!

Weather....
Naw, man....a little rain won't stop me....nothing short of monsoon will impede progress. But, an ice storm, freezing rain, or the occasional nuclear winter event may slow down travel. I gotta cross Arkansas, remember...? You ever seen those giddies drive in snow and ice? It just ain't where I wanna be towing my Cobra through, if ya catch my drift.
Partying in the parking lot is one of my well-known talents. Just ask Doug Reed...he can attest to my prowess. I was there, but can't seem to remember a lot about it...that's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!
But...I won't be drivin' if that's the plan. Too old and too wise for that....Shaaadup, Douggie! You, too, Ronnie!

Yea we have an office in NW Ark...lets just say I know that alot of them don't have insurance and leave it at that.
The plan with the Hotels is that we can drink and not worry....hard enough to control these freakin cars when your sober.

All the wy from California WOW. Get the rest our your local club to caravan with you. You will not regret this trip. Is it your intent to bring the car, You are going to bring the car right?
Hey Dennis. Paul is closer to Dallas than Houston so we get to count him in our group. I mean hey if you are counting people from outside of Houston? hahaha I had to ask!

Steve,
I look forward to meeting you and all my fellow Texans. I was born and raised in Houston, served a couple of years at Lackland AFB in San Antonio and my brother lives in Austin. I'm proud to represent any part of our great state.
Most of my Cobra friends here in California have built 427 SOs or monster big blocks. I cannot even get them to run a local rally. With the gas at $1.75 and up, it's a wonder thay make it to car shows. My good friend and rally navigator, Ron Dunlop, builds engines at his shop in Chatsworth. He helped me freshen up my small block three years ago. We've run a lot of events since then including four 1000+ mile rallies. With the Tremec in fifth, the miles just fly by.
On Saturday the 15th, we are running an SCCA National Championship Rally. I plan to rest and pack on Sunday, screw on the hard top, then hit the road to Texas on Monday with my son David. David is 15 and hopes to have a brand new driving permit this week. We plan to hit a few sights along the way and arrive in Austin midday Friday.
If all goes well, we will see you all then,
Paul
