THANKS!!!
Thanks to everyone!!!! My daughter and I had a wonderful time. This group realy treats people well. My daughter ran co-pilot for Dick and was just tickled silly to call out the raffle numbers.(she likes to run the show, or at least think she's running it) She also mentioned that she thinks the new president should lift the ban on blue cars. Funny how they pick up on these things.
Good people, good fun, good job.
THANKS AGAIN!!!!
Boudy
and Lil Bou too!

YOU TWO BETTER COME BACK!!
Clois & Sharon,
Now that we know you both made it home safe, we want you to know we EXPECT you to come back next year!
Actually, I might as well tell you that around 4:15 am on Sunday morning a small group of us slink around and affix a transmorgraphying device in an undesclosed location on ALL out of state cars that attend our event. All you MUST do is come back next year and nothing happens except another year of fun. "BUT"
should you choose not to attend, on the preset time limit in 2004, your beautiful car will turn into a YUGO- Purple with Fluorescent Green Naugahyde interior, 1235 miles (the most in YUGO history) and a BLOWN 3 cylinder engine(It used to have 4, then it BLEW!).
So far, none of these have actually tripped as yet, so I guess it's up to you & Flyin' Freddie to keep the stretch alive!
Thats the true story, and I am sticking to it!

Well guys I think we found our security leak. John you are not supposed to tell them about the transmorgraphying device. Well since you have spilled the beans I guess I can declassify some more info......one of them did go off.
Dick or Ryan can you post the declassified picture of what happed to the out of state cobra that did not return to our annual meet?

Little Known Fact
Actually, it's a little known fact that we first tried this device out on Carroll Shelby himself at the first TCC event. He showed up and seemed a little irritated that all the cars were replicas. The joke was on him, but he took it rather well. No ones ever seen him or the car again in these parts.

Crappola, Sorry Dennis & Ryan!!
Oh Shiza!!!
It looks like I stepped in the proverbial poop again! I totally forgot about the one we put on Carrolls car! No wonder he got pissed when I walked over to take a look-see at what was under the car cover when we were at his ranch at the Texas 289! He sick'd his pet African steer on me and I hauled out of range. I'll bet that was the GT 350 in the picture above!
Yeah, that's it!
Sorry guys for spilling the beans, but what's done is done, and they are never going to find them anyway......shoot, if Carroll didn't, they sure aren't going to!
I guess the safe thing is just show up next year & everything will be OK! Can you imagine Flyin' Freddie in a Pink Gremlin, with Yellow interior, mud flaps and fender skirts, and you will have to use your imagination as to what is on the bumper sticker, but it had something to do with being proud, or something. Man, he really better show up, because I put the device on his car!
Boy, I would show up next year FOR SURE!

Awesome weekend and enjoyed the opportunity meet the new members and see familiar faces from Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Corpus, etc. Thanks to Ed, Gregg, Cammer & the Austin crew for all the planning and hard work. The hotel, cruise & Gruene could not have been better. Thanks to the out of state folks…Doug & your Cajun crew, Richard Price – back for his third year, Flyin Freddie thanks for the brew on Fri nite, Reg/Frank – thanks for letting me store my car in the Backdraft trailer overnight. Clois, Jay and especially Paul from Calif – you guys now know the way – hope to see you again next year.
Coolest memory …I was the last of five cars in a group leaving the pit stop at Dripping Springs and had the honor of giving Boudy’s 9 yr old daughter Jordan her very first Cobra ride. Snakeyes and his GT-40 were leading the pack and I believe that John Russell was the number three car. We all behaved ourselves for the first 5 miles or so playing follow the leader on the two lane, winding road headed for Wimberly. Suddenly, we came to a 2-mile long, 3 or 4 lane wide open straight away and snakeyes nailed the GT-40 and took off. I turned to Jordan and said, “Here we go – hang on”. The 4 Cobras quickly accepted the challenge and in a heartbeat all 5 were roaring along at close to 100. I took one quick look at my young passenger…eyes as big as saucers, but still smiling. Once we all dropped back to near the speed limit, I heard her say “cooooool”.
Biggest surprise …on the return trip from Gruene I turned the driving over to my son Matt and I was sitting back enjoying the hill country. We pulled through Wimberley and made the right turn heading north. A few blocks past the little stream that runs through town, I notice a little 4 door sedan approaching headed south. A young girl in the passenger seat stuck her head up over the top of the car and yelled and gave a big thumbs up. Not to be outdone, a little blonde in the back seat behind the driver stuck her torso out the window and raised her t-shirt to show us that she was not wearing a bra. Matt and I looked at each other and just busted out laughing. He had to pull over and stop at a gas station we were laughing so hard!!! Ahhhh Cobras!!! I have heard and read of such stories, but a first for me.

Hey Dick, maybe we should do a Mardi Gras cruise, if you got that kind of reaction in the Hill Country.
I remember that stretch of road well. My, um, throttle stuck wide open, and it took a couple of miles to unstick it. Yeah, that's my story. Although it was completely inadvertent , it was fun to listen to the little 289 in the '40 doing its thing, and even neater to look in the rearview and see a thundering pack of Cobras following closely!
Can't wait 'til next time.

COOL!!!
WOW!!! That is really cool. Jordan was born on the 24th, which happens to be my birthday as well. Happy birthday guys.
Chrystal is due in the first week of August and her birthday is Aug. 7th. We think that would be wild. Two kids, both born on our birthdays.
