Default Should have stayed on 4 wheels

Hey everyone! It was a great weekend. Dana and I had lots of fun. I think I told some of you we were taking the kids out for some dirt biking fun on Sunday. Well, that was a mistake. I should have stayed in the Cobra doing my usual donuts.

I had a very light spill on some soft mud/dirt on Sunday. Came down right on my butt. Now normally, that would be ok. Got plenty of cushion there. Problem was, my foot got there first. My own weight broke my fibula and tore the ligament from my ankle. Going to see a specialist today to see what needs to be done. Emergency room said it needs surgery to be reattached. It was on my right foot. Good news is that it may weight a little more by the time everything is said and done. So it may weigh heavier on the pedal. Till then, sorry, I will be out of commission. No driving around 1 footed, let alone with the left foot.

I had fun this weekend up till Sunday. See you guys again soon.

Unhappy OUCH!

Jeff,

I guess I won't rub in the little spin in the cobra on SAturday.

Get well and do what the docs say. It will help the healing time!

Jeff, Well I guess your racing will be on hold for a week or two, sorry to hear about your fall. Take a couple of pain pills and some Jack Daniel, and get well soon. db

thanks All,
I am recouping from surgery on Tuesday. They had to screw the fibula back together and then screw it back to the foot. That screw will come out on 6 weeks. The others will stay and help plant my foot on the accelerator for more Cobra spins. Unfortunately, that won't probably be until at lease May. Until then, keep the Vicadin and Crown coming!

Hey wait, where did my morphine go...?

Sorry to hear about your accident. I broke both my tibia and fibula last April and am just now getting back to some semblance (Sp??) of normalcy.

Good luck with the recovery.

Regards,
Keith
