Austin '03 - new TCC web page added
Each year, I add a new page to the TCC web site with text and pictures from our Austin event. I worked for a couple of hours tonight and selected a dozen shots that I took, but could use some more - especially convoy shots, Paul's Artnz driven all the way from CA, the drive to Gruene, Devils Backbone, pictures from the party in Blake's tour bus, that ugly duct tape attack(my lawyer needs evidence), etc. E-mail your best shots to:
Txinternet@aol.com
The new Austin '03 web page is at:

Great pics Dick
This weekend was way to short. And how about that weather. Geeze cold rainy and wet on the way down, beautiful while we are there and two inches of SNOW when we get back. WOW
Tom that was close, you better start praying now for next year!

Not to inflate Tom's ego (FURTHER ), but it really is astounding. When I got home from work late Friday night, it was still drizzling, and I was thinking, "uh oh". Saturday dawned clear as a bell and it remained that way until sundown Sunday night. My wife took some visiting relatives down to Mexico Sunday and they said it was 80+ degrees down there...then we get up yesterday and it's 38 degrees and windy as hell. Last night freezing rain, this morning ice all over the roads...it was like somebody threw the "nice weather" switch Saturday morning and turned it off again Sunday night. Amazing. Tom, tell us how you do it sometime...as long as it doesn't involve nude dancing and a bunch of live chickens.

What a weekend!!
Wow, Dick'
What a great group of pictures! I have a bunch I took, and a few of those are 640X480, with the rest at higher resolution. I will e-mail you some when I get home tonight(or this afternoon).
Geez, as I sit here in my office looking at these pictures with 20 degree weather outside with ice and 3" of sleet ant more coming tonight I just marvel at our streak of good luck!
What a weekend it was!

Nice pics Dick. Please remind me how much the TCC needs to reimburse you for the site.
Thanks!

More new pics added
Jim Woodard sent me some hotel convoy pics...thanks Jim. I also received 5 really nice e-mail pictures from Mike Murphy - Photo Editor for Texas Highways Magazine. Some of you may have met him at Origin.
Some really great profession grade cruise pictures of the 360 Bridge (might be John Ross driving through), Dennis, snakeyes GT-40, Jim Wetherall/Gail Burnbridge EM and a couple of cars that I did not recognize. There is a really nice one of guys waiving from a red Cobra...I did not recognize the driver...even some good ole Texas Road Kill on the road!!! Looks like a skunk to me!. The web page download maybe a little slow for you dial up guys...but some great photographs. If anyone recognizes their car - e-mail me and and will send to you.
Texas Highways has not commited to a future TCC article, but there may be some mention with a photo in their Jan/Feb '04 issue.

Dick - what type of camera / lens was used for the last few photos you added? The resolution and detail is incredible.
Thanks.
