Austin Wild Flower Cruise(s)!
I'm planning a wild flower cruise (when ever the blue bonnets come out). Possible route would be OakHill Hwy71 to Llano, eat at Coopers BBQ, return via Marbel Falls to OakHill. Anyone interested, let me know. I'll check out the route in a few weeks.

I'll check out the "Willow City Loop" and the "Johnson City Loop" while I'm up there.

It would be worth the drive down Ed!
Ed,
If the drive works as a "non-conflict" weekend, I think this would be worth the drive down just to join in on the cruise with you guys. Please, keep us posted!

Ed-
What are you figuring for dates?
Wife is enthused about this and would love to get out. Plenty of variables to consider, but know that at least one is coming from SA for this -- time permitting. We will get someone to watch the kids for us and make it a date.
Keep us posted....

Depends on the Blue Bonnets
Scott; I'll have to check out the route(s) and the progress of the Blue Bonnets. As soon as I can determine the peak of the Blue Bonnets, and depending on the weather forcast, I will post everyone a week in advance.

Don't be surprised to see the Aggie Cobra on this cruise as well.

Maybe in Two Weeks
The wife is predicting that the BlueBonnets should be out in two weeks if we get some sunny days soon. I'm not a gardner, but Kathy is a Master Gardner for Travis County and knows her flowers.
With that said, the preliminary Wild Flower Cruise to Llano will be Saturday March 29th (subject to change if the flowers are late again this year, and/or the weather).
I will survey the cruise route next week and report what I find.

BlueBonnets Spotted!
While driving to Elgin on Hwy290 we got to see the BlueBonnets comming up. Good sign folks. I'll drive to Llano Monday or Tuesday and see what's happening. I'll even stop at Coopers BBQ and sample their sausages. So far March 29th (Saturday) is still a go for the cruise.
