35k is ridiculous, but KUWAIT?????
David,
Dropping you exquisite Cobra to $35,000 is truly insane, but what in the world are you even thinking about Kuwait??
Do you have a military connection of some sort that I didn't know about??
Please, say in isn't so!!
Youe concerned friend,
John Russell

Dave; I was thinking the same thing as John was. I didn't know you were in the military or reserves. What group are you with, and when are you going to Kuwait? Our prayers go with you.

There are some "civilians" right here in Hawaii that are DEEPLY ingrained with various military units. These guys are TOTALLY civilian, BUT they train with and wear the uniform and are being shipped to the Gulf WITH THEIR UNIT! Is that wierd or what???
Mostly computer specialists, very few in number. This is NOT your fathers Army these days! I bet the pay for a civilian in this line of work is awesome!!! Where can I sign up???

No longer have a military connection. I've been out of the USAF since '84. Since being laid off last June, I've had zero (count 'em) reply's to job offers of the 168 resume's that I've sent out. I used to teach cooking and was a Sous chef in Detroit at 14 years old being paid under the table. I had heard that the Marines were looking for good cooks in the desert of Kuwait. You know, a shower every three weeks, living in a tent....Not exactly thrilled about the idea but, I have a baby to feed and nothing else is panning out. Since I've dropped the price of the cobra $10k I was hoping it would sell allowing me a bit of "breathing room" but, to no avail. If the car doesn't go, I have to.
