mothers day in jefferson
hello all,
mothers day is approaching and jefferson is the place to be! the 3rd annual port of jefferson rod run & car show is taking place on saturday the 10th. it is being held in conjunction with Diamond Dons riverport national vintage and post vintage motocross, observed trials and hare scrambles. don and the boys are expecting over 300 street rods, and several hundred vintage motorcycles, and has asked me to invite as many of the cobra clubs members to participate as possible. this is going to be a huge event. there is lots to do in jefferson, especially if you like history, shopping for antiques, train rides, boat rides and fishing, or just enjoy kicking back with the family and relaxing. for all registered participants there will be a huge party on friday night with live music and bbq. car show and races start on sat. there will be several motorcycle racing legends on hand including jim pomeroy, brad lackey, warren reid, and marty tripes, and the texas vintage racing club. diamond don rainey owns and operates the antique steam locomotive and will be available for tours and rides around town on the jefferson & cypress bayou railroad. really cool for the kids. so pack up the wife, kids, cobras, and motorcycles and come on out to jefferson for the weekend.
i have the registration sheets i can email you if interesed. i'm having a problem uploading it to the site.
see you there
