Mr. Royal Veggie,

Thank you for offering to let me LOOK at you car... I may take you up on that since it will remind my of what NOT to do next time I build one>

Xcobraj,
Peter and I have not gotten that far. We played phone-tag for the last two days and I have been in meetings most of the day today. I will let you know when I find out. Hopefully not another 19 months.

Joe,
Thanks for the kind words. My next one will only have two changes... Rectangular taillights and a Shelby aluminum cammer (if I can find the rest of the parts for resonable money).

Reason for the taillights... Though I orignally liked the round lights better, the rec. lights have grown on me.

Reason for engine... Lack of intelligence

As for the color.. I am torn between three different choices, but as you can tell by my first car, mimicing an original Shelby is not my prime concern.

Hey James are you still going with the outboards? Good place to save some money..then you can use it on the stainless pipes

Default James using an outboard?

Now that will be a different look. What kind of outboard--Mercury, Evinrude, ?

Heck, James, just go with the whole "Bass Boat" theme! You know, some kind of heavily metalflaked paint--maybe candy purple or green, with a trolling motor (great for gas mileage!) on the nose and a swivel seat mounted on the hood (using original-style rivets, natch)...

Man, why don't I think of these things first!

Default ERA Badges?

James-
Where did you get the ERA badges for the hood and trunk? I'd like to get a set of them instead of the standard Cobra badges, but Peter said that they don't make them .

Thanks for your help,
Mike

C'mon James level with us, what three color combos are you looking at? #575, as simple as it is, is one of the nicest paint jobs i've seen. Very tasteful. I can only imagine what you have cookin' upstairs for the 2nd one.

Camo with no stripes?... Yellow with three purple stripes? ... pink with orange smiley face dots?...

I don't want to say just yet but it will have two of my choices have not been done before either (that I have seen).

I am also looking for suggestions...

James
How about Candy Crimson Pearl with one once of gold pearl in the paint with Firemist Gold stripes and ghost flames that have four different iredescents, blue, gold, platinum, & silver. All under six clear coats, color sanded and buffed with two thousand grit.

Good grief I miss my car!

Funny but I just asked the gentleman in Chino California to video #575 as it loads onto the trailer headed to my home in Connecticut. Can’t wait to greet her. This is my 6th cobra but first ERA.

Your going to love it. On my 4th but first ERA. By far the best I’ve had

Noticed your in Westport. I graduated Staples back in 75’. Saw my first Cobra while I was a high gas jockey at an Esso station on Riverside Ave. in 73’. At 16 I knew I had to have one.

Small world! Staples is a mile away and both of my sons went there. It’s a good school. Looking forward to also going up to visit ERA eventually, also not too far from home.
