Unhappy Say goodbye to ERA575

I don't know how I will be this weekend at the TMS event but I will certainly be sad.

I just got the call from the person in Southern California that placed a deposit on my car last week. He has wired the money and the car will be shipped out this weekend.

Please bring Kleenex for me...

Default Bye James!

Hey James,
I know how ya feel... When I reluctantly sold my last car, after getting over missing it and feeling bummed for too long, it was just a matter of time before putting together a gameplan to start acquiring parts again to build and put #2 back on the radar scope. Man, that sure is a nice looking ERA down to the finest details. Be prepared for strong and immediate withdrawal symptons as it gets put in to the trailer... Keep your chin up, your profiles says you still have an SPF; must be nice.

Default positive outlook!

Joe A

I love your optimism!

My wife surprised me and bought me one for my birthday...so
surprises can happen!

I'll bet every guy in southern CA , like you, is waiting silently!

When's your birthday?

Tom

James...does this mean the photo shoot is a wash? OH well....at least my car is clean for the next outing! And NO I don't feel sorry for you. You're falling into the well known "DrewGary's" disease and nothing seems to help.

Gary

Maybe I should sell mine and start over....hmmmmm!

James
I know exactly how you feel. When they came to pick mine up I couldn't even drive it into the trailer. Tom was here and did the deed for me.

You know when I first realized I had really sold the car my wife reminded me to look at the check..... and, well, all is better now!

Yours was a wire, so I realize you won't get to do that, so just go down to the bank and ask for a copy of your statement.

See you this weekend

I wouldn't feel so bad for him.....he has a wonderful wife that will let him order his next ERA if Peter will ever call him back. I do believe this ended the debate on how much was enough to get him to sell it

Things are not as bad as they look. I have spoken to Peter and there will be a second ERA on the way soon. It is just so hard to get rid of your first baby...

Jeannie has said she will give me rides in her SPF if I am nice to her... Anyone know of a good flower store?

For those of you who asked why I sold it... It is just sitting in the garage since I have less and less time to drive it these days. I love the car and am very proud of it but I have two business ventures going and worry time will get even more scarce now that I will be traveling more. I figure, by the time the next ERA gets here, my product lines should be launched and other business ventures further along. It will be a better time to have a new baby.

Plus, I would like to begin building ERAs for people on a small scale (1 a year) in the future. Not to make money, but it is a great release from everyday life.

Still, after all the cars I have owned, I have never had second thoughts about selling one, until now. Jeannie think it is a mistake and she is probably right but the decision is made, too late now.

Gary M,
The photo shoot is not dead yet. I still have one trick up my sleeve. It has been a mess trying to get the studio and photographer together at the same time before they pickup the car. Vicki gave me the name of a photographer and I have emailed him. I will let you know today.

James: Sorry to hear about the car leaving. I sold two racecars and my Vette is on the block to support Hi-Per Rods. Good luck with the ventures, you'll do well, I'm sure.

BTW: I guess the HIS and HERS plates will have to be put on hold.

Maybe we should all sell our cars and be the Texas Non-Cobra Club. We can still pull our empty trailers around, tell stories and drink beer, and pick on Gary and Matt.

On second thought, I'll just keep what I've got.

David

Hey, Morris, you wanna trade? You'll have to discount that blue car quite abit though.

Discount my A$$! You're gonna have to come up with some cash to boot.....this is an ERA and I've just made some more upgrades. I do like the idea of the NonTCC gang. We could A/C the trailers and have mobile party rooms. Every trailer could have a theme!

Default Oh Geezzzzzzzzzz, here we go!

James,
I have faith you will be back in the foray soon, and at least you have a "spare" to limp around in.
Be careful, very careful, as it looks like some fellow ERA'ers are trying to kidnap the thread.. theme trailers, Matt in a teddy, MY GOD, the visuals of his trailer is reaaaaallllyyy getting scary!
It looks like more than a few or us are not very busy this afternoon!
