Jay,
If no one answers this question you can post the correct answers on Friday morning and you can post a question. I know you have some real good ones.
Jim........ Lucky guess.

A new question
Assuming that Mr. Woodard is correct & I believe that he is...here is a new question...also more recent event. TCC Austin - Feb - 2003 - I believe the car count at Origin in the group picture was 69...that should be 67 - 427 body style cars and two others. Name the two non 427 cars - owner, body style and manufacturer, etc.

ONE FOR JIM
RALPH BUTTON DID IN FACT DRIVE HIS NEWLY FINISHED FFR COBRA FROM MAINE TO TEXAS, RACED IN THE EVENT AND THEN DROVE HOME. DV AND I AWARDED HIM A NEW WOOD MOTO LITA STEERING WHEEL THAT ENZO AND PAULA HAD DONATED FOR THE EVENT.
JUST A NOTE, THAT WAS ALSO THE FIRST TIME THAT DV MADE AN APPEAREANCE IN TEXAS WITH HIS VIPER POWERED NAMESAKE CAR. MOST OF THE DRIVING OF THAT CAR WAS NOT DONE BY DV, BUT BY ONE OF HIS CUSTOMERS, NICK. NICK THEN COMMISSIONED DV TO BUILD THE NOW FAMOUS "DVII". GORDON LEVY, WAYNE PRESLEY, DOUG REED AND DENNIS OLTHOFF WERE ALSO THERE.
SINCE DICK HAS ALREADY POSTED ANOTHER QUESTION, I WILL DEFER TO HIM. LET ME KNOW WHEN IT IS MY TURN AGAIN
JAY
P.S SINCE I WASN'T THERE I GET TO GUESS AT DICK'S QUESTION. IF PAUL CASS CAME WITH HIS CAR, IT IS NOW I BELIEVE A 289 FIA LONE STAR CONVERSION. OF JOE GARLAND CAME, IT IS A UNIQUE 289FIA YELLOW CAR.

Well if you are not counting 427 styles then Pauls 289 is not a 427 and Bob's CAV GT40 is definitely not a 427.

El Correcto!
The answer I was looking for was Joe Garland's Unique FIA car and Bob Brezinski's GT-40 - although I don't think it is a CAV - something like GTD from England or the like. Paul Cass's car was the trick question. Paul's car is a Lone Star 427 body that he designed to give the appearance of an 289 body with the Viking Blue - forward roll bar support, red driver stripe, 289 HIPO engine, etc. That is what I think is so cool about these cars is the unique differences that owners build into their creation.
Ok, someone else's turn.

matt got close
ED BOOTHMAN CAME ALL THE WAY FROM ORLANDO, FLA. FOR THE MEET. HE IS KEITHW'S BEST FRIEND AND HAS THE NAME EDORLANDO ON CLUB COBRA.
THIS ONE SHOULD BE EASIER.
THERE ARE SEVERAL MAKES OF CARS OF WHICH THERE IS ONLY ONE OF IN TEXAS COBRA CLUB. EXAMPLE: BUD MAN AND HIS KIRKHAM, SCOTT LOUGHEED AND HIS EXCALIBER, ETC. WHO OWNED THE ONLY JOHNEX COBRA?
THE OWNER IS EXEMPT FROM ANSWERING THIS ONE.

That would be Cory Hess. However that Cobra was sold several years ago and now resides in Canada.
Along those lines who would be the owner of the only DAX in the club?

these are too easy
THAT WOULD BE THOMAS OR THOMISNAKE. IT ALSO THE ONLY CAR IN THE CLUB WITH VISUAL FANGS.
IN 1998 AT MID AMERICA IN TULSA, WE MET PAUL CASS, GARY MORRIS, CLAY FUGATE AND SOME OTHERS. WE WERE IN TOM'S TRAILER. WHO WAS PARKED DIRECTLY NORTH OF US AND WHAT CAR IS HE KNOWN FOR? IT WAS ALSO THE FIRST TIME WE HAD MET HIM. THERE IS A PICTURE ON MY OFFICE WALL AT THE TRACK WITH HIM.
IN THIS CASE TOM IS OUT AND SO IS THE PERSON WHO PARKED NEXT TO US.

AFTERTHOUGHT
NAH, THAT ONE WAS BEFORE THE GROUP GOT STARTED. THE ANSWER IS "CAMMER" DEE WAS THERE AND THAT'S HOW WE MET.
HERE'S A BETTER ONE, AT TCCIII IN AUSTIN, ONE CAR CAME TO THE ORIGIN GARAGE BUT DID NOT MAKE IT UP TO THE TOP DUE TO ENGINE PROBLEMS. I HAVE SINCE BEEN AT ANOTHER EVENT WITH HIM WHERE HE HAD TRANNY COOLING PROBLEMS. THE CAR IS ALMOST ANOTHER "ONE OF" CARS IN MY LAST QUESTION. THERE IS ONLY TWO OF THESE CARS IN TEXAS.
WHAT IS THE CLUB COBRA NAME FOR THE OWNER OF THIS CAR?
HINT'S ANYONE? UNDER THE HOOD? PAINT? LOCATION? THE PROBLEM THAT CAUSED THE CAR TO MISS TCCIII? WIFE'S NAME? EVENT THAT HE HAD TRANNY COOLING PROBLEMS?
I GOT A MILLION OF THEM
AS ALWAYS THE OWNER OF THE CAR IS EXCLUDED
