Painting Party!
Well, Nell and I are finally closing on our building on 22 May. We are planning a "Painting Party" for Saturday the 24th. We'll have food catered in and beer of course. We have a lot to do before we officially open for business on Tuesday the 27th of May.
We are trying to arrange for "Cory Morrow" to come and play our first acoustic set on the evening of June 6th. Come one and all to the new "Nonna's Cucina"...formerly Alvin Ords sandwich shop. We will have menus with additional Italian items to serve with our sandwiches. For the painting party, I think we are going to leave the cooking to someone else and have Fajita's catered in.
Email me if you may be interested in lending a hand? Exact time to follow so "watch this space". Email: bigwilly@bigwillys.com
Best Regards,

Thanks everyone. Here's the poop on the painting party:
Come as early as you like on Saturday the 24th. We are in dire need of tall ladders as the inside is 12' to the ceiling. We also need to remove a canvas awning on the outside that is at the 12' level. This is 5' wide and 32' long! We are going to repaint the outside front and the entire inside before starting to build a new Cedar arbor on the outside.
The address is 124 E. 8th Street in Downtown Georgetown on the historic square. I will have lunch provided by Dos Salsa's restaurant with Chicken and Beef Fajitas, rice, beans and of course....Cervesa!
Make sure to wear some old clothes and bring a hat to keep the paint out of your hair! Call me if you need me. 818-2221.

Hey guy's !!! I have 3 tall ladders. 2 extension and one step. I'll be happy to loan if somebody can pick them up. Pat and I are going to be out of town this weekend to close on a piece of property. Wish we could have timed it different, but could not.
Let me know!!

Gina won't be there as there are going to be ladders and paint a-flyin! It's on the square in downtown Gtown so not much in the way of rompin-room. In fact, we don't even own a lot so to speak. It's a commercial building without a yard.
See you there!

How to get here?
Here is how to get here.
I-35 North to exit 261 (Hwy 29 or "University Drive"). There is an HEB as you are heading West on University Drive. Pass the HEB, through the first light (Scenic Drive) and to the second traffic light. This is "Austin Ave" and there is an " Oil Exchange" on the corner. Turn left here on Austin Ave. At the next light is 8th Street. Turn right (West). You are now on the square with the giant courthouse on your left. Continue West on 8th Street for 2 blocks. Look for the red awning that says "Alvin's Sandwich Shop" on your right.
Address is 124 E. 8th Street.
Cell Phone is: 512/818-2221
