Hey TCC Guys,
Would anybody be interested in a tunnelport 427? I have not decided conclusively yet on what I want to do with this engine. Wanted to see if there is any interest from any of you TCC guys first. I have a tunnelport 427 complete and running with less than 200 miles on it, it is presently in a 67 Mustang GT FB that is about to go to the paint shop.
The only reference I have on how it runs is a fellow in the Dallas area that has a black 67 Corvette. It looked like it had one of those other 427 type engines with the triangular air cleaner when the hood was up. The problem is he's not speaking to me, we left two different stop lights together and he never would catch up to talk about it, so I tired of waiting on him.
Anyway, this motor might look good sitting in a Cobra, if it will fit under the hood. I don't have a lot of specific information on the motor since it was in the 67 Mustang when I bought it. It does have the aluminum 2x4 setup that I had powder coated with the large oval air cleaner and aluminum LeMans valve covers. It has a top loader 4 speed behind it right now and that will stay with the car.
Here's the deal if anyone is interested, I have a new 390FE that I want to put back in the Mustang to make it original. So if you are interested I would need the 427 pulled out, the 390 placed back in the Mustang and running plus $10,000. The cash part is negotiable a little bit.
I will be in Tulsa Friday,Saturday and Sunday if there are any interested parties you can call me here in Arkansas @877-437-3427 or our cell phone there in Tulsa @972-824-6250, or my email address is
ap427cars@msn.com.
Just thought I would give you TCC guys first shot if interested, if not it will probably end up in a Willy's coupe.
Thanks,
Alan
