Highland Park 4th of July parade
There is a classic car parade in Highland Park on 4th of July. Jay and I went 2 yrs ago and had a great time. Anybody interested? It would be neat to have a bunch of Cobras all decked out with Old Glory flags and such. Most cars come with a bunch of candy to throw to the kiddies. I will get more info and let you know where we might meet.

James,
The year we went there were all kinds of vehicles. Lots of PU's. I may have an extra Cobra for you to drive if you're interested.

HERE'S THE SCOOP
THE HIGHLAND PARK PARADE IS FRIDAY JULY 4TH AT 9:00 A.M. STAGING FOR THE PARADE BEGINS AT 7:30 A.M. BY THE CITY OFFICES. TO GET THERE TAKE MOCKINGBIRD EAST FROM PRESTON ABOUT TWO BLOCKS. TURN RIGHT ON EATON. IT WILL DEAD END INTO THE CITY HALL. VEER RIGHT AND YOU WILL SEE ALL OF THE CARS AND FLOATS ON EUCLID. PULL INTO LINE OR LOOK FOR US. WE ARE GOING TO TRY TO BE THERE EARLY AND SAVE SOME SPOTS.
THIS IS A LOT OF FUN FOR THE SPECTATORS. WE DECORATE THE CARS AND THROW CANDY TO THE KIDS ALONG THE ROUTE. PARADE LASTS ABOUT AN HOUR. KEITH IN THE RED, WHITE AND BLUE COBRA AND I WILL BE IN THE KENNE BELL CAR. ALL ARE WELCOME BUT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHO IS COMING SO THAT I CAN SAVE ENOUGH SPACES SO THAT WE CAN DRIVE TOGETHER.
NOTE: THIS IS NOT LIKE THE GREENVILLE PARADE WHERE THEY SILLY STRING CARS. I HAVE DONT THIS PARADE FOR FOUR YEARS AND NOTHING HAS EVER HAPPENED FROM THE CROWD.
SHOW YOUR LOVE FOR OUR GREAT COUNTRY AND TCC. LET ME KNOW.

We should be able to get Alan's pipes on Thursday, so hopefully we'll be there on Friday AM also.

We're out. :(
Well, I'm off to pick up the pipes, but it doesn't look like we're going to be able to make it. Alan just got back from Denison and is on the phone and headed back there (what is it with these customers who want service???) ;-)
So we're going to have to take a pass this year, but hopefully (barring any more trips to Denison) we should see everyone Friday night at the Castle.
