Dick Fletcher-Pray for him!!
Dear TCC members and friends,
Barbara Flesher called me today to tell me about Dick. He is recovering in CCU at Medical City from massive brain surgery that he underwent this past Wednesday, July 3,2003.The tumor was malignant, and very large. The Dr. got most of it (about 90%), and we must pray that when Dick recovers enough from the surgery wound in approximately 4 weeke that the Oncologist can take care of the rest with chemo and radiation therapy.
Dick is in pretty good spirits, but he is just beginning to grasp that he has just survived very difficult brain surgery, and that he will not be back at work in the next couple of weeks. He is also..."NOT AWARE" ... of the other things that have gone on this week, and we need to keep it that way, understand??
The best guess at this time is we are hoping that he will be released to go home this coming wednesday, but they may be keeping him in CCU untill then, which means no visitors, please. Things are still pretty dicy, and even though he has made it through/over the first hurdle, there are many more ahead of him. Barbara has asked me to be the conduit for this part of his family, and I will keep everyone informed as to his progress.
We will truly need all the power of prayer we can muster to help Dick and his family survive this, and once he gets home, I am sure cards, flowers, visits, etc will be welcome.
Dick's e-mail address is:
TXinternet@aol.com
My home phone # is 214-827-7973
cell is 214-202-4577
Please feel free to call me if you want.
Dick's home address is;
Dick & Barbara Flesher
10035 Windledge Drive
Dallas, Texas 75238
Thanks,
John Russell
