Bench racing afterwards
For Bench racing after the track day at TMS I would recommend the Up In Smoke BBQ in Keller. For those of you who are not familiar with it, it is on 377 just south of Golden Triangle (1709).

Check the All Cobra Talk section for photos... I thought they were just too good to only post in the Texas section.

Thanks James for the pictures!!
James,
Let me be the first to say "You have done it again"! Great series of pictures in your post! MAN, did we have fun or what?? Don, thanks fo a wonderfun day at the track, and the hour or so we spent in the instruction center was worth the price of admission alone!! I have never had anyone go through what this all is about with such detail, and in the proper step-by-step method with the visual aid presentation. I have a lot of books in my library about driving/instruction/lines etc, but it seems I will be buying another one soon (the one you carry). I would be remiss if I did not give credit to the staff that Don has assembled. These people are ALL professional drivers with many years of experience behind them at ALL levels and in all areas of racing. They are informative, cordial, friendly, and I can tell you when one of then in the lead-&- follow in an Audi A-4 easily pulls away from you coming off the oval out of turn 2 and you attempt to close ther gap with a bit too much right foot- WHOOPS- here we go into an immediate spin 360- both feet in- keep it on the track- Dang!! O.K. now I am in the back of the line, wow, that was quick, John jr. is grinning about 3 feet wide- nice catch Dad- no harm done! OK. Then, at lunch, the driver asked me what happened, then told me exactly WHY it happened..... and he was exactly correct!! THAT ALONE WAS WORTH THE MONEY,DON. I have within 45 miles of 12,000 on my car and that is the first time I have ever lost it, and I needed to do it. I hope I learned something, and I plan to learn much more. This is the best bang for the buck there is anywhere aroung that is car related, and I plan to take full advantage of it as I can, for my family and my safety!
Thanks Don for a GREAT day.
John Russell and John Russell, Jr.
