Thumbs up All Right!

Joe; We missed you at the Oasis.

Tony; Pick a place & date and Kathy and I will be there in our AC limo. August is still too hot for the FFR to come out of the barn, except for evening cruises.

Default 9th is Bad

The 9th won't work for me. But I'll make any other date. ANybody up for a road trip to Dallas and drop in on Dick and the boys. I'm sure Dick would love for some of us Austin Guys to visit.

Lets fill Rens parking lot. Will at least fill up the front parking area.

the 9th or the 23rd are good for me. I have missed June and July's meetings and don't want to miss this one.

The 16th works best for me--last weekend before school starts at ACC. My vote is to meet at Ren Man's in Georgetown. I went up to the hot rod show that happened near his place on Saturday. A bunch of Cobras thrown into the mix would really change the tone of that well attended, but lowkey, event. I know he'd have "Nonna's Cucina" open for us, and I think it'd be a hoot. I also vote for an evening meeting so that convertible people don't fry in the Texas sun. Ren Man said he'd love to have us. It'd just take a phone call. Plus, it'd be neat to support his new business adventure, don't you think?

I'll open for you guys anytime! Name the date?! There is a small car show that is getting off the ground here in Gtown every Saturday from 6pm-9pm. It's right on the square about 100 feet from my restaurant.

Let me know......

Default Bring an Appetite!

The 16th sounds great. So I guess all we need is to bring an Appetite.

I can stay open as long as you like...Who said, "It's good to be the king!"? Directions will follow as soon as I can attach a mapquest map. In a nutshell, take I-35 to exit 261. Go East (right) past the HEB to the third light (about 1 mile). That is "Austin Ave". Go North (left) on Austin Ave about 3 blocks to the first light. That is 8th Street. Turn Right on 8th Street and go two blocks. The address is 124 E. 8th Street in Georgetown. There is no sign on the building but it's green, white and red like the Italian or Mexican flag. Phone number there is 863-3442. I can email a menu to anyone that would like one in advance. I have it in Word format.

Ciao for now...

You guys have been challenged by James Baldwin

Did you even Know that? Come on and get as many together as possible. Heck I have been wanting to go to Ren Mans place anyway. Maybe I could make a trip down. Don't count on it just yet. I will see if I can slip it in the schedule.

Mustang Mendez,

No chance for an evening event? Like I said, that's when there is already a car show there, and a drive in the evening for Cobra drivers is going to be a little easier without the noon day sun. Just my two cents worth.

That's actually a great idea Gerhardt ! I don't mind whenever you guys show up but a meet about 4pm or 5pm would give everyone a chance to avoid the noon day sun and the cars are out here at 6pm for the showing. The weather has been beautiful the past three weekends about 6 pm. I went to the show for the third weekend last night and a bunch of us went down the street later (about 8:30 or so) to Sonic. Man, were we drawing the crowd! However you like to do it? I literally have nobody in the restaurant after 4pm so the run of the place would be ours!

Default 4pm works for me

I like the latter in the day events. 4pm works good for me no Cobra though. Have my eyes out on a couple right now.

Never know what will break in a few months.

So is it 16 August at 4PM? Right????
