Membership Update
I ran into two Austin members at the OakHill Car Meet last Saturday.
Richard Ludwig sold his Cobra in trade for a Corvette.
John Camiolo was showing his Lone Star Cobra at the car meet. John has been spending his time playing golf.
Scott Lougheed emailed me. Scott loaned out his Cobra to Jay to race. Scott is currently on vacation up north.

Hi, my name is John.
Sorry for the extended absence - I'm working, which is good, but it's in Houston, which is less so (and only because I live in Austin, Houston guys ).
I have managed to fix the ride height on my car, only to discover my HyFire has problems. The HyFire is now in Nevada at Mallory HQ, and I'm heading out to the garage to plug in the ignition bypass and get the car down off jack stands.
My plan is to make it on the 16th - I'm really looking forward to seeing Nonna's Cuccina and the new Saturday night car show, but with work and the boys, all plans are subject to change.
Look forward to seeing everyone soon (even if it isn't this month) -
JLW

Kyle; I noticed that you have logged in and did not respond. Since we are meeting in Georgetown, not too far from you, how about comming to the meet at Renman's restaurant. You have been missed by all.

Come ON FOLKS
Please let us know if you are still alive or not. If you can't make the event on Saturday. Just spend a few seconds and respond.
The weather should be great. Wish I still had the Cobra.

It's out a here!
John,
Sold the thing back in May. I'm looking at geting another real soon. Just can't make up mind. You know Superforamce, ERA, Unique, Heck a Kirkham would be great too.
1. I want to get the engine combo figured out. One minute big block, the next a small blocl. When I can live with that then I going to build the engine first and then get the car. Ordered. Hope to have plans in place by the end of the fall Won't have (atleast I dont think) I'll have a car for February, but I know I can get plenty of rides fromm those that do.
BTW how is Dick Doing. Been thinking about him alot lattely.

A day late ...
Just minutes ago, the black and silver CR made the transition from suspended-art/garage-supplemental-storage to four-wheels-on-the-ground-motor-running status.
Looks like my heater bypass was a leak-free success, but there's no telling yet if the HyFire will continue to talk to the coil for more than 15 minutes. I just got it back from Mallory, but they didn't find any problems when they tested it (and they managed to bend the mounting legs and ring connector for the power wire in the process).
I'll be taking a quick test drive to HEB when it cools off a bit, and with any luck it will stay off the jack stands long enough to make it to cobrapalooza ... ah ... cobrastock next month!
Sorry I missed it this month - it looked like a great night for roadsters!
