I took the trailer to two differant trailer dealerships and had them appraise the trailer. Here is what they told me.

National Trailer Sales (this is where I bought the trailer new)
Wholesale 10,500.00
Retail 12,400.00

C & S Trailer
Wholesale 10,400.00
Retail 12,200.00

The differance is based on opinon of condition. Both stated the trailer was in the best condition they had seen for a 2000 model in a long, long time.

I do not have to get full retail for the trailer , but in turn I can't sell it for less than wholesale either. Both companies stated they would put 10K in the trailer and would ask between $12,400.00 and $12,200.00 respectivly.

Basically, if interested, best offer over 10K gets the trailer

Humble is very near to Houston. Try www.deepsouthtrailers.com They made me a hell of a deal on my new one. In Georgia.

David,

How did you handle delivery from GA, and what did the delivery cost, approximately?

Thanks,

I went and picked it up. I think they wanted about $500 more to deliver, so I drove to Cairo, GA.

Dave,

It is a white Haulmark Thrifty enclosed car hauler, 8'x8'x24', 10,000 GVW, phone number of seller is 337 239-2756. I think they are asking $6,695. I opened the back door and it looks like it has hardly been used. Real clean on the inside. It has lights on the inside, a side door on the passenger side, electric brakes all four wheels and slanted back part of the trailer for driving on. I have a Haulmark Thrifty 20' and it really pulls great.

Hope this helps.

Toy,

Thanks for looking into that. I wil keep looking around for a 20' black enclosed unit, the company in Georgia David mentioned has (had...) just what I'm looking for, and there are places here in Dallas too.

Question New or Used

Dave,
Are you interested in new or used?
I might be able to help you out with a new all alum. enclosed trailer if that is of interest to you. Black or any other color you want.

email directly so we don't clutter up this thread.

Terry Lee:

I am currently looking for a enclosed alum. trailer since my Volvo XC90 only has a 5400lb tow capacity. What do you have?

Thumbs up

Dear Dave,
If you would be interested in a 28' black trailer (made by Phoenix = located in Venus, TX) let me know. I am the original owner, it already has the tie downs in place for a Cobra and is equipped with the following: 4000 Onan Mircolite gas genset, lined and insulated, 110V and 12V lights, Coleman air conditioning unit on roof, (2) 8000 lb. torsion tube axles (8 lug with 16" tires, 235/85R16, load range E), Alcoa rims, 1/8" smooth aluminum floor without dovetail, electronic tongue jack, overhead cabinets, 24" wide work bench, motorchanger, spare tire as wellas 2 slick tire holders and electronic winch. Asking $9000.00. If this is not too long, please give me a call (832) 541-3298. Sorry I do not have any digital pictures to forward onto you.
I now own two Phoenix trailers (most recent purchase is a 30' stacker trailer) and do not need both.

Jim,
I think we talked several months ago regarding this subject.
The manufacture of the trailers is "The Aluminum Trailer Co." They have a web site: www.aluminumtrailer.com which should give you all the info you need.

Now having given you that info, you have two choices:

1.) Deal direct with the manufacture and pay MSRP
or
2.) Deal with me and receive a discounted price.

The choice is yours, or anyone else who has an interest in an aluminum trailer.

Please use my email address for further correspondence regarding any trailer info, to keep the club's threads to a minumum.

Thanks,

Terry Lee
