Default Schubeck Composite Radius Lifters

Anyone running these or know of someone who is?
Looks like a good alternative to running typical roller lifters on the
street.

Thanks for your help

Pricey.

I think around $1,000 for a set.
You may also need to bush your lifter bores, depending on your engine (another $500).

Only you can determine if any performance gain is worth the price.

I am running the Schubeck lifters in my 428SCJ 69 Mustang with a flat tappet cam. The cam is around 650 lift and 278 duration at .050. I also know several people running them in stock eliminator drag cars with no trouble. I however am running them in a street car with no failure yet. I also did not have to modify the lifter bores any.

Clinton,

Have you (or anyone else you know) had problems with roller lifters?

I built a 408 Windsor motor with a 710 lift roller camshaft.
After about 4k miles of street/strip action 4 lifters were junk.
They had not failed to the point of coming apart, but they were not far from it.
I like the sound of FE motors at idle and I know that at low rpm oil is just not able to lube the roller wheels.
Hopefully these new Schubeck lifters will allow us to prevent future failures.
Thanks for you help guys.

Default ROLLER LIFTERS

CROWER and a few other co now offer a solid roller lifter with an oil passage that lubes the needle bearings. And have had great results you might want to explore that venue.
thanks Dean

Clinton,

You should not have a problem with, not having enough oil at idle on an FE motor. You need to check the oil pump and the pressure relief system.
I have been putting restricters in the oil ports to stop over oiling and filling up the valve covers with oil.
The 427 will idle at 60 to 75 psi.
