Default San Antonio Help

I just got my car here from VA last month and would like for a little assistance in the next couple of weeks.
I left my body buck in VA and would like to either borrow a buck or make a diagram again using poster board and someones buck.
Also, I think I'm stuck until I get my engine and transmission in. Is there anyone in the area that can swing by and give me some pointers on things to do until I can get the engine and tranny installed? I've looked over the 58 build steps and seem to be stuck. I would do the dash but I'm going carbed and don't have the gauges yet. Please send me and email and let me know if anyone can help.

Thanks,

Chris

Glad to see another Texas Cobra in the making. Should be a FFR builder or two around S A (Ryan, where are you?) Hope y'all come to Austin in Feb. It'll be great for you to get ideas for your build.

Just be patient. Sometimes it takes a while for a good, useful response. I wish I could help, but I'm too far away.

Thanks,

Sorry about being a little impatient. I'm just frustrated at this point because I seem to be in a holding pattern. I was hoping to get another body buck made this weekend. I couldn't bring mine from VA and I figured the quickest way would be to use a couple of poster boards and get a good tracing.
The good news is that my engine is being built now and I should be able to pick it up in about a week. Now I just need a T-5.

Thanks for your responses, once I get the body back off the car I'll shoot you an email.

Thanks again,

Chris

Look under Parts for sale on this forum, a person from austin area selling T-5's for 700.00.

Hey Chris,
I've been in Colorado for the week and just got your message on my phone....I'll call you tonight and I can stop by one night this week! Also, I have rebuilt several T-5s with success, so if you find a used one we can get a complete kit for about $200 and do it in a weekend provided we don't need any gears.

Hey Chris,
Here's a great guy to get a T-5 from, he's up in Roundrock. I have heard lots of good things about him. I almost bought one form him before I decided to build one myself.

I also called my uncle and he's seeing what he can find...he says they're getting a little tougher to come by though. I'll call you tonight.

Default Welcome to the clubS!

Hey Chris,

Just wanted to say welcome to CC and TCC! Looks like you are getting some good help. If you can manage it, trailer the car to Round Rock on the Friday evening of the TCC event next month. And bring a pad of paper cause you'll get more help/advise/ideas etc than you ever dreamed of!

I hope to see you soon,

Charmer
