Lightbulb Looking for missing founding members from 2000!

As we finish our fourth year and are looking toward our annual yearly founding meeting in Austin at the end of February many people have been talking about those in attendance or who were instrumental in the actual founding of the Texas Cobra Club on February 27,2000.
I have pulled together a partial list from memory and I am going to list those members in alphabetical order, and I am looking to the rest of you to search you old files, pictures, memory banks and post the many others I have left off my list. Make no mistake about it, those that had a part in, or attended the lunch meeting when the actual vote was taken to form our club WERE FOUNDING MEMBERS! I would hope we can all remember others and we can get this list of between 36-50 people together prior to this year's meeting.

1. Enzo & Paula Alibrandi
2. Drew Baird
3. Bob Brezinski
4. Paull Cass
5. Tom Canfield
6. Dick Flesher
7. Sean Kelley
8. Devin Martin
9. Pat McWorter
10. Tom Meadows
11. Gary Morris
12. Jay Nordstrom
13. Steve Parks
14. Doug Reed
15. Rob Robertson
16. Burk & Julie Rosenthal
17. John Russell
18.Gary Sharapata
19. Matt Tice
20. Terry Tilton
21. Jack (Stretch) Williams
22. Jim Woodard
23. Greg Herdlitchka
24. Dennis Mosley
25. Paul Risch
26. Brian Sorrell
27. Brent Mills
28. Mike Schriber
29. Mike Jones
30. Chuck Reynolds
31. Tom Mauldin
32. David Osmar (Ren Man)
I know I have left many out-especially Austin members, but in an an effort to promote accuracy I didn't want to guess incorrectly. Please help me out and post here so I can complete this and we all will know who actually founded this club, as we are all on equal footing here.
Thanks,
John Russell
One of the founding members of the Texas Cobra Club, and proud of it!
ps. I will add names into the list as I get them. JR

Default HMMMMMM

I THINK THAT IS WHERE GREG WHATSHISNAME GOT HIS NAME AND I DO THINK THAT BRENT MILLS AS YOU SAY "HAD A PART IN".

I DON'T REMEMBER IF DENNIS MOSELY WAS THERE BUT I THOUGHT HE WAS, MAYBE OLDTIMERS IS GOING ON. I ALSO THOUGHT B.J. GREEN WAS THERE BUT MAYBE NOT. UNFORTUNATELY HE HAS ALL OF THE PICS I TOOK THAT YEAR AND NO ONE HAS HEARD FROM HIM IN A COUPLE OF YEARS.

IF YOU GO TO THE TCC WEB SITE AND LOOK AT INNAUGURAL EVENT PICS, WHO IS THE GUY IN TAN SHORTS AND BLACK SHIRT TAKING PICS?

JAY

PS. I THINK THAT IS PAUL RICSH

Yes that is how the What's his name handle came about. I thank The King for giving me that handle. Man that was a fun afternoon.

Can't wait for this years.

Default Thanks Mike!!!

Mike,
Thank you for posting! This is the reason for the post, because our history on club cobra is incomplete due to a server problem a few years ago which resulted in the loss of the first year or so of our history and thousands of posts. Brent founded Club Cobra January 23,1999, and our first Texas Cobra club member joined in January 28,1999, but all our club threads were lost.
In this posting we should be able to get pretty close. There is a very small group of people that have made all the events and an even smaller group of cars/owners that have made them all, and unfortunately we have lost some members who will now be with us in spirit, but it is that spirit of the people that has made this club what it is!

Great post John,

Your list of folks looks very thorough. It was an honor to be a part of that first group, and coming up with a role sheet like this is great to help to keep the memory of that first meeting alive. We could all tell that we had something very special.

I'd also like to mention that those of you that joined TCC after that first meeting are just as special. And if it weren't for you and your efforts, TCC wouldn't be what it is today. After all, it's the work that so many folks have done SINCE that first meeting that has kept TCC alive and well.

I think I might have some paperwork somewhere from that first meeting. I'll take a look. I would like to add Chuck Reynolds to the list. He was the security guard that was at the first meeting, and has been with us all the way.

Thumbs up Chuck's in!

Stretch,
Thanks for the addition, and Chuck is in! Any of you Austin guys still talk with David Osmar- Ren Man? I think I remember his coming out to look at the cars and joining us at the first meeting but I would like to know if he made the lunch meeting so I can include him. I think we are beginning to get close, but I also would like to know if anyone knows how to locate Terry Tilton? He was a class act, and it would be good to see him again.
Keep them coming guys!

John,

I remember Tom Mauldin being there (without his FFR) also.

He came all the way from Houston area and was just starting on his cobra then.

I don't remember if he made it to the luncheon that we had the "business" discussions or initial voting but he was present at some of the weekend festivities and early emails/forum postings.

I think he may be attending again this year and he can chime in for further clarification...

Lightbulb Thanks Devin!

Devin,
I remember him, and I do believe he made the lunch at The County Line, so I have added him to the list.
Thanks, and I will see you in a month or so!
