Cobra Event in June?
Does anybody know of any Cobra/Classic car event going on in June? Thanks for any info. I am going tubing on the Guadelupe river for 4 days and would like for my husband to have something to do as well.

You are in luck! The biggest Cobra event in the country is June 25-27 in Columbus Ohio. Do a search here for DVSF and you will find all the information you could ever want.

Hey thanks rdorman man! That sounds good...a little closer to home would be better...unless I could find someone to go with him...I wouldn't want him to drive that far by himself!!

I am assuming that you are in the Texas area by where you posted your question. There are a number of the Texas people coming up for the event and usually there is a spare seat! Aside from that, air fair is cheap and once he gets to the hotels he will not need a car. Last year there where 300 Cobras and nearly 1000 participants for the event. He will need to arrive on Thursday and depart Monday if he wishes to take it all in...... and he will! The 'browny point fairy' will have a BIG reward for you for this one! Of course I am assuming he is a Cobra fan.

I forgot to mention that this is not a 'show'. There is a show component to the event but there is also a lot of seat time. He should have no trouble getting a ride in the Cobras to all events.

Of course he is a huge Cobra fan. And very soon he is going to start building his Cobra....from scratch...from the ground up...all aluminum...and yes, he is quite capable! The man is a genius. So how much do you think it would cost me for this trip? Ball park of course.

Cost, kind of depends. The event is free. Hotel rooms I think are going for $59. If he rides up with some one then who knows what the cost will be, maybe gas money. If he flies, well, I don't know where you live! Cab to and from the airport, probably $70 round trip. Aside from that, spending money.
I would imagine that the Texas folks will join in here shortly!

Just for grins I checked round trip from Houston to Columbus, it was $300. I know very little about the Tulsa event that was mentioned to you. Depending on what days you are gone and the closer to home factor it sounds like a good one to.

They both sound good. I guess I will pitch them both tonight and see which one he settles on. Either way I know he will be excited. Thanks for your help! I wish I could get him in a workshop with Ron Covell or Kent White. That would be the ultimate!

Waco Ralley
We attended the Waco Ralley last year. Great hospitality and good food to be had.
I was checking our spring meet registration, no Waco members or Cobras registered. What's up folks?

Register!
James, Please register with or without Cobras. Head count is needed for Saturdays lunch at El Arroyo's restaurant.
I'm glad to hear that some of the Waco gang is coming to the 2004 spring meet.
