This was my first time at the event and it was great. I would like to have another event during the warm weather just to talk with the people I haven't got to meet yet.
I think it would be a good idea to have more notice posted about all the event times and places at the hotel, as I sometimes get involved doing something else.
I did enjoy the drive the most, but would have liked to see more Cobras in my group of about 8. I would like to see the Cobras lined up to the horizon in front of me- what a sight that would be.
Keep up the good work!!!!!!!

hey ed
great job to you and your staff! sorry i missed seeing you after the lunch to tell you thanks. guess everyone scattered. my neck was a little sore so i went back to my daughters to rest. went back to the hotel later to visit but nearly everyone was gone. i to would like a later date for warmer weather. its been cold all 5 years that i've been there and rained at some point on 4 of them. cold and rain are not a good mix. anyway it was great getting out to see everyone, just wish there had been more time. nice to see a couple of 289's in the mix. as for other events, i think san antonio is thinking of something in the early fall, dennis has talked of doing something in houston, and of course i have my event here in corpus in november to end the season. thanks again ed.

Although I have been to this event for the past three years with out a Cobra (brought a Shelby Mustang) this is the first year that I have really been part of the event. I thought all went very well even though I could not be part of the road tour. There are very few weekends in March or April that don't have some sports event or other conflict. To attempt to move the date will cause conflicts one way or another for many folks.

The Digital Photo Guy
I hope the one or two negative photo comments don't scare some of the others from checking out the many great photos we took of this February 2004 event. Of course this appears as defense...what we produced this year for the group photo was something different. First, you can clearly identify most if not all the cars very clearly. And they are arranged so it looks like a large group of cars in a pleasing way. This produced a long horizontal photo. We produced a professional, creative group photo, something different (change) is good.
Although we were in two locations shooting photos for the cruise, some cars didn't follow the route and others didn't complete the route, mainly due to weather threat. Otherwise, I should have the majority that participated. Some said I probably wouldn't have any photos of them and I did. Again, nice clean good looking shots! We took a good variety of photos on Friday. We also designed a very unique event poster that folks loved and or thought was "way cool". Again...something new and different. This is still available and can be seen on our site.

While you're at our site, feel free to check out the many other events we have photographed.
I am confident many many more than not were pleased with our unique, creative digital photo service.

Had a great time. Drove down and back from Ft Worth. My only complaint is with my car, which is relatively new. It WOULD pick the hill country cruise to break down,,, not once,,, but twice. Oh well, it made it back home OK.
I'll be back next year, see y'all then....

Doug,
I finally realized where I have seen you before, you do the photos at Texas World Speedway for the CVAR events.

Hi Tim, Wheww, thought it was those photos they keep posting of me at the post office! CVAR at TWS may be one place you have seen me. I shoot many events. CVAR is one of my favorites. I have a date for CVAR May 21-23 at TWS. Maybe we'll see you there? Just did a CVAR event the first week of February. I am hoping to catch the fall (November?) event as well as following the Texas 1000 for a week. Maybe we'll see you there? Have you ever been to Rockwall, TX? I shoot a big cruise event in the summer (200+cars), going this year (was actually invited back). Did see quite a few Cobras last year. I keep busy...Whatever the event, please don't be a stranger!

I was at CVAR in Feb. also. I have never been to Rockwall. I had my '64 vintage race car at an open track day back in August of 02 and you took some great shots of my yellow #7 Corvette roadster before it was restored. Do you keep old pictures?

Are you sure it was a CVAR 2002? Not 2003? In August? Don't think I can help you if 2002.

Awesome amount of fun. Cobra owners and enthusiast are the best! Everything was great!
Would suggest due to the number of Cobras we charge an event fee in order to defray the cost of having a police escort from the hotel until we get to FM 2244 or some open road. The 2 cobras in front of me ran the first red light and almost got broad sided.
Also clearify the directions some for those of us not familiar with Austin, IE there is no Bee Cave Rd on any signs. Maybe go out in advance and put signs TCC with an arrow. I'll volunteer to go put some signs up. Also have groups of 5 or 6 cobras run together. Safety first and always.
I had a number of folks ask to go for a ride. Maybe do a thrill of their life ride for $10 and give it to charity.
Warm the weather up! Move the event by a couple of weeks.
In sum total it was an 11 out of a possible 10 all due to the people! (and of course a Cobra or 80 of them!)
