Post Proposal for Consideration

Stretch proposed a great suggestion to add an extra day to our yearly spring meet event. Having a four day event would enhance our Spring Meet.

Thursday arrival (evening tailgate party).

Friday all day car show and an evening dinner at the hotel (formal meeting to conduct any business).

Saturday setup group photo, and cruise-lunch-cruise (awards and raffles at restaurant). Evening tailgate party.

Sunday departure.

What say you all for a four day event for 2005?

Sounds fine to me!

Edit: Disregard the rest of this post as the proposed schedule has been changed--

My only comment would be with regard to the scheduling of the group photo on Friday; FWIW I think you'd end up missing a lot of neat cars that would be trickling in Friday night or Saturday morning. The group photo may not be of big concern, although personally I've always enjoyed having the memento. It took a while to stage this year, but now that we know how to arrange the cars I'll bet it goes a lot more quickly next time.

Bob

Thumbs up Proposal Tweaked!

I tweaked the proposal so that the group photo is now Saturday morning. Good suggestion, thanks!

Talking Great idea, in the Spring!!!

Ed & all,
I think it is a WONDERFUL idea, and as long as we are changing, please consider it a bit later when the Hill country is in bloom.... and warmer , I couldn't resist!

I look forward to the regular monthly Austin in May or June so we can sneak of and cruise the Hill country with you guys.

Dennis,

When Blake gets his crawfish boil set up, which he has indicated he plans on doing again, please see if you can make that--good food and music, and there are LOTS and LOTS of good roads between Houston and Blake's house to cruise!

Dennis,

If you do come to Blakes house. Find someone to follow, either Blake dosen't know where he lives or he can't give directions. Ask Tony he is still lost.

Great idea Ed. Gives me an extra 24 hours to party before the 12 hour drive home.
