Lightbulb March 25th,26th and 27th 2005

With all the discussion on moving our annual meet in Austin, let me be the first to post a possible date!!
I'm opposed to moving Our February date, but it sounds like a lot of people would like to see it moved!!
I strongly suggest that we not move it any further into the year, April and May are a very busy time for everyone!!
April, all the car shows kick off, plus the Waco Group has their Bar B Q, also one other consideration is the NASCAR races at TMS, They are usually either the last weekend in March or the 1st weekend in April.
May we The Dallas group are tied to the AER show in Carrolltion, then there is Memorial Weekend, all ready a lot to do in May!!

Several reasons to keep Our Annual Meeting in February, it starts the Season off, everyone is excited about getting their Cobras out, February is not a busy month for most people, everyone is excited to get out of town, get away for the weekend.

I wanted to express my feelings about Our Annual date, I will do what ever THE CLUB wants, not just a few but what ever most of our members want!!

We need to do whatever is best for The Texas Cobra Club!!

Mid March or the dates you chose are fine with me. I would like to move it a little later in an effort to have warmer weather. I don't have a heater.

Austin sure was fun. Cobra owners and enthusiast are the best people!

Default Before we book it Danno!

Perhaps we need to check with the hotel and make sure that weekend works. Alot of things start to happen in march.

We need to take this slow before we do any drastic changes.

Just a voice of reason.

I like tradition....Keep it like it is with another event in Dallas. Would ya'll come? Dallas has the biiggest concentration of cars and we allready have some ideas for an event that would really be cool!!!

Pros and cons...I suspect folks with kids may have some Spring Break schedule conflicts with those dates. March weather can be just as temperamental as February. It will undoubtedly be warmer, not sure if it will be drier, though. The wildflowers should be blooming by then.

Post Poll

Ryan, Please post a vote poll for either February or March for our spring meet next year. Let's get the TCC to settle the debate. One vote per member. Thanks, Ed

Lightbulb Given a choice- I 'll vote March!

Crikey!!
Here I finally give up on a move, and here comes a new thread! given a choice of dates, I would vote for a March event! I think warmer weather and more beautiful scenery in Austin, combimed with a Thursday-Sunday event makes a sure winner!
This, of course, hinges upon open dates at our host hotel, the Marriott- Round Rock!!

If it is sunny and 70 the last weekend in Feb 05 we are all going to feel silly. For me I'll be there whenever, and I'll have my car on a trailer so that I'm more weather independent.
