Default Austin April Meeting....

Folks,

We had a good turnout for the March meeting so I have high hopes for the April meeting. At the April meeting I plan to rivet my build plate on as the final step in my build. You don't want to miss me mess this up and throw something so plan on attending!

Tentative date is 4/24, 11am at Carlos 'N Charlies. Here's a link to their map:

Carlos'N Charlie's Map

Hope to see you all there!

I just spoke with Gregg and he suggested we meet on the base. He told me we can all take turns on the mortar range and, if we're lucky, catch Sgt. Holcum in the watch tower.

He also offered to race Ed #1's Cobra with either A) a Hummer; B) an M1A1; C) his Vespa scooter. He said any of the above would win hands down vs. Ed #1's ride.

Finally he told me that we should all check the date very carefully on this post (EDIT: should have been 1am 4/1 doggone-it)!

Default M1A1 Wins

I hate to brag but the M1A1 would blast Ed#1's cobra out of the water. I mean it would blow that sucker to pieces.

Default Remember these words!

Peace through superior fire power! Or in this case my sabot round is faster than Ed#1's cobra.

Talking Get a Life!

Greg, You need to purchase a Cobra real soon. Ever since you sold your B&B you seem to be having withdrawals.

The last time I saw you was at the Spring Meet driving Ryan's FFR in the hotel parking lot, and also riding shotgun in that white Shelby with the roll cage and no windshield. Was that drool exiting from your mouth?

Thumbs up C&C at 11:00am

Kathy and I plan to be there.

Kathy told me that she might ride with me in my FFR so long as I don't exceed the speed limits. I've been hearing her say that for the past three years.

Cammer, you and Jacque want to convoy? If so, swing by our place around 10:30am.

Default Not drool

That was the tears coming from my eyes because of all the dirt getting blown in my face. I will never own a cobra with out a windshield. That was the most brutal ride I have ever been on.

BTW I'm getting closer to pull the trigger on a new cobra.

I'll see you guys at C&C's.
I had alot of fun last time and look forward to seeing everyone again.
Ed and Greg, my boy says he can beat both of you crawling with a Carlos and Charlies waitress on his back.
Are you up to the challenge?

Default I'm in!

I'm planning on being at C&C's. I just got back from a little jaunt to Cancun, and went to the C&C there, so I figure I'll compare the two and see which one I'd rather hang out at!

Ed H. : Name your drink. I finally got around to installing the gas pedal you passed my way. Pain in the butt, but I got it on.

Thumbs up Will Do!

I'll remind everyone who attends our monthly meet at C&C. I'm pretty sure that everyone here in Austin is aware of the Waco event.

I've got it "sticky" on the forum, along with all the other up coming events, so everyone will see it when they log into the TCC forum.

Ok folks, watched the news tonight and looks like the weather might cooperate for a good showing next Sat. Dawn is going to come along for the ride out to the lake so lets see some COBRAS this time!

You can all witness my final act of the build when I rivet my build plate on. You can also help me search the menu for the most expensive drink since Darren is buying me the first one for a modified gas pedal that I gave him!

Jacque and I have a previous committment that prevents us from making this monthly meeting - we hope to be at the next gathering - maybe we'll see some of you at the Waco meet or the Crawfish Boil in Boerne ............. until then

I'll be there with the wife, assuming the Cobra is out of the body shop by then.

Ed H: I'll run by the bank and get a line of credit set up to pay for that drink! Wanna caravan over to CnCs?
