How about ANSELL, (or any other brand name from the USA) there is enough rubber under those guards to build a condom empire.
The car looks great with the big raceing tyres.

imitation is the best form of flattery...
hey, John R.
Thumper is a good idea, but that is it's name already! (when it was owned by Gary M.!!!)
The whole point is to name it something DIFFERENT. Of course, if you haven't read the thread regarding "April Meeting" in the first place, then you wouldn't know that, would you??
So, anyway, not to hurt your feelings or anything, but no, I'm not going to name a car already named Thumper, Thumper, too, or 2 or II or, whatever!! Especially the suggestion made from Fred.
That's where Gary got the Bambi thing in the first place......
gotta go! scrapbooking all night!!! brunch with cobra buddies tomorrow!! baseball, wedding, party (birthday), yada yada....
got a bit of suntan today!! Guess what I did all day!!!!?????
k
p.s. got about 3 inches of my hair cut off! the whipping the eyes thing. good suggestion from Aussie ladies...

Rename your Cobra
Hi Kristen...
How about something simple and understated like...
"OL BLUE" ???
Those of us who know the car will always recognize it.

Kristen, I don't know what you are talking about??
Kristen,
I offered the name Blue Thunder?? Do you think that I somehow forgot the pet name Gary had for his old car???
I am thinking no way, Jose'! Good luck today, for I will miss the fun as parent duties are calling.

Do you need my postal address to send out the prize for BEST name?
If you want to fly me in to pick it up,
no need for you to pay for First Class tickets.
Business class will do fine

And the winner is.....
Well, happy and proud to announce that the new name of ERA #291 is.... Pepe le Bleu!!!
The winning entry was submitted by none other than Gary Morris, and honest to goodness it wasn't rigged
Of course, he did submit 12 or more suggestions.....
The winning prize was autographed by yours truly, hey little cobra.
it might be valuable some day Gary, hold on to it!!!
The close runner-up was Bob T. (fordnut) from San Antonio, TX with Blue Bayou (blew by you). As a huge Linda Ronstadt fan, that was a tough choice for me to pick, but the dallas group came through and voted for Pepe le Bleu. or gender specific, pepe la bleu.
nicknamed "Peppy"
that's all folks, and goodnight.
p.s. don't forget to move your clocks forward one hour
