Default Shock help

I posted this in the shop talk area but did not get any replies so maybe I can get some help from you guys....

I have Alden(?) coil over shocks in the rear. They make a squeeky noise over every bump. IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!. Any others have this problem or a fix for it?

Todd

I replied on the other forum but will post it again here.

Todd,
You have a problem that several of us had/have.It took me months to find the squeek on mine.Thought it was the shock or bushing.
I found it by accident.

It is the rod ends on the 4 link.

Jim Woodard and I both switched them out for QA1.
The "extra high strength chrome moly,teflo/kevlar bearing race.

COMPLETELY changed the ride and handling ! and no more squeeks.

Todd,
You sure are right about the squeeks being a pain.
The difference in the ride and handling are dramatic. After resetting the pinion angle after the swap caused a huge difference in traction as well.It hooks up now.

Todd,
Was wondering if you got rid of those squeaks ?

If you switched the rodends out, what do you think of the way it rides & handles now ?

My car has been parked due to some family issues. I plan on doing it next month. I have not yet changed out the rod ends but will soon. Thanks for the info and I will let you know as soon as they are done.
