Default Update On Gary Morris CSX Car!

I was out in Las Vegas this week for the 2005 Ford Dealers Intro Show (yes tons of Ford GTs and new Mustangs in fact they had a poker chip drawing for 8 Ford GTs over the course of the show) anyway had some time off yesterday afternoon and went over to Shelby out at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Gary Patterson was very nice to give us a tour of the facility which they are moving back across the parking lot to a much bigger building. Business is good since they lowered their pricing on the CSX 4000 series cars - now a 9 to 10 month wait. About 10 cars going down the line and Gary's was number 3 from the front. I thought I'd jump up and be the first to "Fart In the Driver's Seat" but lucky for Gary they just finished putting in the carpet and the seats were not in yet. Dash was wired and ready for installation next and then a couple of suspension parts they are waiting to recieve and they will be finishing up this baby. What a beautiful car......

Default Too Late

I was out there last week. The seats were not in the car yet does that still count.

Here is a pic of the car from on the assemble line.

Wink

Not many of you know this, but Gary actually paid the upcharge for painting the car to look like it had a white protective coating... I am not sure why, but that's Gary for you....

I think the pictures show it off well.

I'm facinated by the contrast between these assembly line photos and the photos taken at AC and Shelby's Venice shop during the early to mid-sixties. Much more has improved than the quality of the cars... Looks to be a far better place to work.

Wink For Sale?

Gary, When are you putting the CSX up for sale?

The Dallas bunch are constantly selling their cars before the first 3K mile oil change.
