Sven Alexander "Nordie" Nordstrom II

NORDSTROM, SVEN ALEXANDER "NORDIE" II was born on May 4, 1911 in Spokane, Washington and following a long illness went to join his Heavenly Father at noon May 13, 2004 in Carrollton, TX. He was the only child of his parents Sven A. Nordstrom and Aleda Gravos Nordstrom from Loftin Island, Norway who preceded him in death. Sven "Nordie" Nordstrom is survived by five children, including three sons Paul B. of Plano, TX, Jay A. of Dallas and "Jim" James D. of San Antonio, TX., two daughters Shirley Parker of Chewelah, WA and Lynne Denham of Lewiston, Idaho; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. Sven Nordstrom attended Washington State University in Seattle, Wa. and moved to Texas in 1956. He was a manufacturers representative for Charmglow Products, division of Beatrice Foods for over 35 years. He was the 2nd in the nation in sales until his illness and retirement. Sven made his home in Dallas with his wife of 35 years, Rita Nordstrom. He passed away at Brookhaven Nursing Center where he had been a patient for 11 years. He was a member of Walnut Hill United Methodist Church on Marsh Lane. Viewing will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. an Sunday, May 16, 2004. Funeral services will be held on May 17, 2004 at 1:30 P.M. in the Wildwood Chapel. The family wishes to thank the Brookhaven Nursing Center - The Odyssey Hospice for all their care.
