Thumbs up

Paul,

I'm still smiling at the intervention of the fates that brought me down the road at the precise moment you guys stopped to regroup. If it had taken a couple more minutes to get my family loaded in the car I never would have known ya'll were even in the area. Thanks to all of you for indulging me while I went back to the house to get my Cobra (and to Mike for the ride!). It was the best kind of "car day"--the unexpected kind. I hope you make it up this way again soon--

Yes, Park Road 37 is a gem. It's only 10 miles out of town but it seems that most people are unaware of it. I had the joy of driving it twice a day, every day, for about four years. Those blind curves can get you, though--the "bus encounter" was interesting. I came around a sharp corner to find a pickup turning right, SLOWLY out of my lane, with three large RVs roaring past in the other direction at the same time. I was able to stop but was anxiously watching my rearview mirror, knowing Bob was going to come around the corner at any moment, unaware of me being stopped with no place to go...it all happened in a few seconds but I remember looking at the space between the driver's side of the pickup and the passing RVs, thinking, "I wonder if I can squeeze through that?"

At any rate, all was okay. Thanks again for letting me show you one of my favorite little roads. I hope we can get some pics from Mike--

people wondered why I put 11" power Disc brakes on the front and rear of my car, but I guess you can answer that for me. LOL
