Cutting the rollbar

In what way are you wanting to cut your rollbar ?

Jay had to lengthen his because it was too low.He got run off a track because of it.

Too low and any safety benefit is gone,street or track.

Just hoping to lower it an inch. It seems to high in the air compared to many others I have seen.

What kind of car do you have? It's not very hard to do. Just unbolt it, cut it and weld it, and reinstall.

Height on a roll bar is a good thing. How much higher than your head is it? How does it fit YOU? When the pavement is sliding a few inches from your face another inch might be good. Been there done that.

OK then, It's a two piece unit. The part with the "L" bracket is left alone. Cut off the two ends with the bolts 1/2" from the end. Then cut the additional ammount you want off,and then cut that same total ammount off the short end. Lastly, weld the bolt ends back on. I'm sure you have a chrome bar, but the welded part will be below the body and out of sight. You'll also have to redrill the back bar.
