Thumbs up Hey guys the lady needs help

Kristen

Yeah good friends I could imagine their laughter and worse still their comments.

I thought all the TCC guys were great people who would run to your assistance..

Kristen my fuel situation was just a Sunday drive.

I was at seaside town Lorne between Geelong and Warrnambool on the south coast of Victoria. We had just travelled down to Apollo Bay about 30 m further west.

The road is very nicer with plenty of big sweeping curves and I think the float was up and down as the fuel moved around (my story anyway)

We had just pulled into Lorne when everything just stopped. You know that feeling. I pushed the gas pedal and it took up and ran a few more seconds.

Now Lorne is one of the busiest tourist towns where you drive around for 10 minutes to find a car park. Yet here I am out of gas and there is a vacant park right outside the coffee shop. So I roll into this spot. Luckily the gas station was only 1 minute back behind me.

Here I am pouring fuel out of a can into the tank out the front of the coffee shop and the guy with the loudest voice yells out

"....hey run out of fuel mate, don't you have a gauge?"

My son who was a little embarassed yelled straight back.

"No pal, its racing fuel - Avgas we pour it in with each tank of fuel"

He shut up. I went about trying to get fuel up and get it started.
And out of there.

Such is a Sunday drive.

Cheers

Bernie
