Not to take anything away from the very lovely Bobbie, but I am ready for the "Hooters and Horses" in Houston on Saturday. Hell, I even beat some of the dirt and dust off the Cobra.
BTW, does Bobbie have her own website? If not, she sure needs one devoted just to her!

Yeah, I agree...Henry, are you and Bobbie an item? If not, how can we get her to come to Houston? She is an incredibly good looking woman!
And David, I'm ready for it too...we may need to do a re-run later in the year when more folks can make it. I just hope the snakes make a respectable showing...see you in the morning.

You guys have a great time at Hooters. My son lives and works in your great city so perhaps the next time I am out the beer is on me at Hooters.
Bobbie is a staple at the NASA events here in the East. Her husband (sorry guys) drivers a Factory Five Cobra very well - he has passed my baby Cobra on many occasions.
A pic of him behind me at Lowes and here is their very unique web site, Wait until you hear what she calls HER race car!

Great time!
Well, we did it, had a great time, with 11 Cobras and about 20 rgreat folks showing up at Hooters, and four of us putting our cars on the dyno. The Hooters...I mean wings, were great and the dyno runs were a lot of fun. I'll let everyone post their own dyno results if they want, but my car pulled 347.3 HP with the air cleaners and hand brake applied and 382.9 HP with the hand brake and air cleaners off.
We're "muttering" about doing a re-run on the dyno some time in the Fall when it's a little cooler, and I'll vote for revisiting the Hooters anytime!
Thanks, Guys and Gals!

What Ken said!!!!! And thanks for setting this up.
I liked the HOOTERS Part best!!!!!
Kelly cheated and told them his car was named Hooters and all the girls flocked to it. Could of gotten a really good picture but he kept putting his mug in it and screwing it all up.....Yes Kelly before you say it, I'm jealous!
An idea was floated (by me) to do a Hooters tour. We could start in Kountze and just work our way toward Austin but do it by hitting every Hooters on the way. Even if that meant doing a little back tracking (like going directly south). I Think Jim D, said he could chart that out for us so we wouldn't miss any.
I did buck up and put the car on the dyno but we won't really talk about that anymore...... Car needs some engine work and they told me to back off quite a bit on the timing as that was what really killed me. Going to be tough to do with the 6 carbs but I'll give it a try....all else fails, I got a big chunk saved for a new boat, maybe I could turn that in to a high powered Keithcraft aluminum 427!!!! The old boat is starting not to look so bad afterall.
All in all it was a great time and nothing got broke that wasn't broke when we got there. The guys at Houston Performance took great care with the cars and were great host.
Give me a couple months guys and I'll show you some HP....you have unleashed a monster now....
Did I mention I liked the Hooters part.

We got Hooters too!
So as not to let you guys think we Brits are too "stuffy" for this kinda thing, here are a couple of UK Hooters girls perched on my car at a recent event. I was trying hard not to look, umm, "happy" in case my wife saw this pic (she did anyway, and laughed her a$$ off).

Which Hooters location will the August meeting be held at? This should become a tradition!

I want to thank everyone at the Hooters/Dyno event. It was my first chance to meet up with the Houston club. I had a great time and everyone was great and made me feel welcome. I am looking forward to the next event. The Hooters, cars and dyno were perfectly curved, tuned and fast; not necessarily in that order.

I had a great time at the Hooters and the dyno. ( even though I did not put the Blue Devil on the dyno) I don't know why people think that I could chart a course for a poker to all the Hooters ( not a bad way to spend the day) Just from memory the Hooters locations in Houston are: Hooters of Kirby, Hooters of Houston NW Freeway, Hooters of Houston, Hooters of Sugarland, Hooters of Willowbrook, Hooters of Spring, Hooters of Nasa, Hooters of Seabrook, Hooters of Shenandoah. Thats nine total, The one downtown has a parking problem but the rest should be OK. What about 8 meetings at Hooters, 2 at the Sundance, and the last"pair" of meetings could be up for grabs. Thats a 12 month run of meetings. What a year that would be. My CUPS runith over with just the thought.
See everyone Next Month,
BLUE DEVIL
