Correct Me if I'm Wrong
But didn't we agree on Thursday as a travel day. Which gives us more time to hang at the hotel?
Just trying to get my brain to engage this morning.

Greg...you are correct. The yearly meet has been extended a day so we can have more time together which would mean March 24, 25, and 26 as the dates with Sunday the 27 reserved for the trip home. All this means is that Susan and I will be there Wednesday night......and it better not rain. Still wish we had kept the original date but I'm still in.

Gary, Gary, Gary!!!
Gary, my boy,
You must remember what actually happened here that was the ONLY reason for the change.
You SOLD YOUR CAR to Kristen!! We all knew you were going to need the extra time to get the new Shelby ready, and that you were going to need a few months to learn how to drive again with that new Keith Craft monster 427 stroker ( I seem to remember it's about 670 ci, and somewhere around 1175 hp & 1400 ft/lbs torque..... or maybe not ) and of course we will be moving our birthdays back a month into March, and there you have it!
John Russell
ps. There is a slight possibility some of the above might be a little off, but the rest of it is true, I think!
at least Gregg was right!

Spring Meet Chatter Already!
I go away for the weekend and old Tom has a brain freeze. I'm glad that everyone got Tom back on track.
We will have a four day event (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday):
Thursday: Travel to Austin & setup Hotel parking lot, and tailgate party.
Friday: Car Show in parking lot, and a Salado trip for those who want to get out of town for a few hours and shop. TCC dinner at the Hotel ball room and general club meeting.
Saturday: Hill Country Cruise and Lunch (like last year), and tailgate party.
Sunday: Travel home.
The above schedule of events are pending feedback from TCC members.

Hell..we're in Memphis....645 frickin' miles away from you Bozos...and WE'RE already talkin' about it...! Richard asked me this past weekend at breakfast when the Austin meeting was....told him I thought it was the last weekend in March....but I seemed to have killed a few brain cells since then....! Okay.....probably more than a few, right?
Anyway...we're lookin' forward to it already and making' plans to be there. I like the additional day....look for us. We've acquired a new Margarita machine to complete the Memphis Mafia's road trip equipment collection...awwwwww, yeah...this thing is sweet! Add in some of Dougie's jambalaya, and like Ol' Jimmy says, "...You'll love to see us comin'.....but, you'll hate to see us go!"
At Charlotte, we installed the Margarita machine through the hotel window....all you had to do was walk up to the window between the bushes, and draw you one...! We had folks standing in line in the parking lot... Awwww, yeah...we got THIS figured out....! We have escalated parking lot parties to a new level...!
DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME....WE ARE TRAINED PROFESSIONALS!

The cat's out pf the bag!
Freddie,
Well, the jig is up now! I guess you & Richard figured it out while you were in deep discussions late in the evening is some dingy bar, that the real reason we changed it back a month and added a day WAS FOR YOU GUYS!!! So there you have it, that's the true story, and you gotta' admit the Texas Cobra Club supports ALL our members no matter where you live, and in your case it is just in Far East Texas !
We all got together and just figured two days a year was not quite enough time with our brothers and sisters so we just changed the deal and now we can really enjoy Spring weather in the Hill country and some truly beautiful drives.
It is always good to hear from you, my friend!

Well...put the cat back in the bag...!
I must register my displeasure, John...Richard and I have not done "dingy bars".....! Not that we won't, mind you...it's just the damned Austin city fathers decided all the dingy little bars had to close up at midnight on Saturday night....we had to go to the posh, more uptown hotel bar....that also closed at mid-freekin'-night..! Hell....no one wants to have a buncha drunk cowboys in Texas, I guess.....go figure!
So..the Hell wif' 'em...we'll bring our own damned bar and lite up the damned parking lot! This year...music, margaritas, bright lights and dancin'....a little Texas two-step in the parking lot oughta turn everyone's crank, I'm thinkin'... We'll turn the 'motorhome' alley into a friggin' dancehall and saloon...! Between the Margarita machine, Don's knock-yer-weenie-in-the- dirt speakers and trailer...hell, we'll have the entire hotel down there all night long...! What could be better? Awwwwww...yeah...we're lookin' forward to this!
Is it time yet....?
