Gunrack is SUPPOSED to be in my driveway this afternoon...

but I can't track down Boudy.

Jeez, I really like Boudy, and I love BDR #139, but...

it's been six, no, seven weeks since I have seen the little beast.

Even worse, it looks like Kansas State might beat OU.

That is truly not a good thing.

UT,

Don't despair yet. The day isn't over and Gunrack will most likely be home by the time you read this. Darn, isn't it strange how we can miss something like a car so much. Great driving weather here now, but rain is forecast for tomorrow and Monday.

I hope your right about GR going home to UT Ron. It must be painful having one of these out of your possesion for any amount of time, I still have at least a year to get one in our garage
Hope you get Pepe back soon too Kristen.

It's 3PM, no word from Dallas.

But OU beat Kansas State 31-21.

It is a PERFECT top-down day and I have no little car.

Probably the last nice weekend until spring.

Boudy, you is in deep kimchee with UT.

Mike,

I go through withdrawal every time I have one of the cars at a garage for a day. I can just guess at what Ut is going through. If his luck is like mine, the day he gets it, the rains will start and not stop for weeks. Hope that you can get yours soon as you will have a great time.

I can't wait to get ours, I dont care if it is used. Still have a year to wait at least, and the day we take delivery it will probably be 30* but I dont care, Ill still beg dad to take me for a ride. Thats the kind of luck I usually have. Your lucky, you live in CA (weather wise )

LwCwb

Taking delivery during a 30+ day is no problem. Just cruise anyway. You will not notice how cold it is...

Just head to the warmer area for a ride..

Don't worry Bernie, I would force him to take me for a ride or i wouldn't let him forget it for a few months Dont feel it if you dress in layers I cant begin to imagine the looks we would get rumbling through town in a car with no top in 25-30* weather.

Just a quick blast down the street will help you get over the cold and the fact that the Cobra is sitting there in the shed waiting for warm weather.

Its like that run outside in your underwear..you are back inside before you feel the cold...

Kristen,

Yes I'm looking after the Cobra. Saw your "Post" over on the Australian Forum also.. All the 360's and off the race track excursions, now you would think that I'm very careless..

The "hill climb" runs up the side of a hill in a zig zag fashion. Quickest time to the top wins. Should have practised the technique when I had the hire/rent car in San Francisco..

Don't worry the Cobra will clean up like new..

I know you are thrilled ! It just isn't right not having a Cobra in the garage.

While Pepe was gone they opened up TWO more levels on the Texas High 5.

You two need to check it out.

Default Well, Fred, I know about that....

as a matter of fact....
while I was cruising south on 75, I geared up (in my head) for the big drive up- then- down the East bound 635 ramp. Checked my speed, (working speedo- yea!!!!), checked the gauges, and all ws fine. Took a big breath, (I hate being up high!!!- especially in the Cobra) and prepared for take off. Took the curve a little quick, but not too bad, and zoomed down towards 635. Remembered to breathe, (kinda like having a baby, or coming out of a tight turn on a track, pick your comparision based on your personal experience), then as I merged into traffic once again checked gauges. $h!t!!!! Couldn't believe my eyes. No speedo. 7.9 miles on my new gauge, and doesn't work. Again. And, there's good news/bad news with the fuel gauge. It works. (good) and I watched the needle move 1/4 tank for the drive home. (bad) Wow, it drinks the gas! Guess ignorance is bliss when the gauge doesn't work; just fill up all the time and you don't really notice if it's a lot or not. Kinda like oh, well, put in 20 bucks or 5 bucks or 30 bucks, etc......

So, we will do some tranny work in the winter, and maybe at that time the speedo cable in tranny will be found to be the culprit. It is most annoying, as any time I've gone to the track I've never known how fast I can actually go, as I can't really on you liars to give me an accurate guesstimate of my speed. I recall hearing "about 25" at Hallett... yeah, right....

So, I did experience one of the newly opened ramps. I don't know if I'll ever get on the highest one, as it really scares me, and I never have the need (so far) to go from east bound to north.
See ya'll @ Nationals! I'm IN. (bringing my girl buddy, too)....
Kristen
