Post TCC Membership

Now that my 2004 presidency has ended, I wanted to say a few words to the TCC membership. For the past three years I have been actively involved in our yearly spring meets held here in Austin, Texas. Now I believe its time for me to step aside and let others help in the future planning and support of our yearly spring event.

During our Saturday lunch, the TCC membership voted to continue to use the Marriott Hotel and the El Arroyo’s Restaurant for future Spring Meets. So basically everything is established. We will need several members to help plan a new cruise route and other venues for the 2006 Spring Meet, and provide assistance to our new President John Russell. (I will forward all the Austin area contact information upon request.)

I’m not leaving the TCC. I’ll be around hanging out with the Austin Cobras, and I’m planning several visits to Corpus, Houston, and DFW meets. I hope others will step up to the plate and help out. This is a great club to get involved with.

Ed,

Y'all have done a fantastic job handling this for us the last few years. But now you get to sit back and enjoy and watch the rest doing all that behind the scenes scrambling.

I thought we decided that the President's home group would take the lead in planning the event in Austin next year. Which means John just got himself a whole bunch of volunteers - even if they haven't realized because the alcohol is just now wearing off. LOL

Thank you for all your hard work!

Colleen

Ed,

Since you have been so involved these past few years with the planning of this event, and done so quite admirably, I will be glad to assume those duties for next years event and give you a much needed break.............!!!!!

Your advice may be requested at times, but I will be glad to take over the planning, hotel, cruise, restaurant etc....

So I am advising all with this post to direct future inquiries, needs or questions about next years event to me....... my email is posted on this site..........I hope to do as good a job as Ed has done!!!!

IS THAT OKAY WITH EVERYONE??????
