Dallas/Ft Worth Area Roll Call
OK, between the board being down and life in general being pretty hectic, the DFW crew has gotten quiet. BUT we sure have great attendance at our meets with no way other than a post on here to notify everyone.
So... IF you are reading this and are a DFW Cobraphile, post something, anything, even a bad joke, so I can get an idea of who all is reading this board. AND sadly who may have slipped away.
This serves no purpose other than to satisify my own curiousity, as I have no official function to go with my title.

Colleen,
I am reading the board when it is too wet to work outside. I am 180 miles east of you.
Although you have no official function with your title, I feel you have done more for the club than any TCC member I know. I am happy that you are the FIRST Miss Texas Cobra Club. Now we face the dilemna of how your successor will be chosen. Personally, I feel you should nominate someone at the restaurant at the annual meeting and have that person voted on, as you were.
I know who I would pick, but that is not my choice. I feel like you will do the club well with your selection.
I was standing next to Donald Trump in Shreveport when they picked Miss USA here a few years ago. If I was his boss, i would fire him.
It's just fun to single someone out for all they do for our group. Keep the tradition alive and we will get you a CROWN and coke when we see you.
Tommy

You guys ever do anything during the week? I'm an EDSer so have to come pay homage to the God Pod in Plano on regular basis. Would sure be fun to come see some of the local cobra flavor instead of another chain restaurant.
Thanks!

As you say most of us are pretty busy with life in general, although I have been practicing and training hard since I got taken down in the first round of the Kieth Craft Motorsports Winternationals by none other than the Miss Texas Cobra Club herself. That really hurt, then my wife takes me out in the loser round. O yes there will be a rematch in Austin. HAHA just kiddin.

Where are they now?
I agree with you... the forums are very quiet lately. Where is Cowtown, JDean, JRoss, and many others that I could always count on for some good advice and a laugh or two?

I've decided since it is SOOOO dead in the Texas forum, and since both of my CARS are dead in the garage, I will sell both of those POS's and dedicate my life to scrapbooking. Long live scrapbooking. Long live scrapbooking.

Well, I have been taking advantage of the winter wetness to do some upgrades on the car. Stroked the 460 to now 521, just took to Kim Barr Racing shop this weekend for break-in and dyno runs. I wish it came out a few more inches so when people ask "is that a real Cobra 427" I could really confuse them and say it was a fake 527.
Goal is to have everything back together for the Austin trip. Hope to see every one there, especially if we get all the rain over with now.
Oh, I did see Jay at the Autorama last weekend with his blown Willys on display.

Kristen,
If someone asked your husband if his wife is high maintenance, he would have to say "Her cars sure are!!"

Yep, I'm still here!
Yeah,
I know we need all this rain, but this Winter weather can get rather old at times!!
Shoot, it sure doesn't mix with a Cobra very well.
Oh, what the heck, it's Texas.....probably get hotter than Hades next week
See Y'all later,
John R.
ps. not getting e-mail automatic response to threads sure doesn't help, but that is supposed to be fixed soon, and at least the site is back up!

the dr's. nurse called today!!! Dr. Rob is making a house call tomorrow! yea!!!!
We will be back up and running in no time.....
I did some scrapbooking this weekend. this rain is soo good but such a drag. Messy messy messy.
Peter got his 'learner's permit' yesterday. I haven't let him drive with me yet, but last night David let him drive him around the block in that 3 week old brand spankin' new pickem up truck!
Hey, he gets that '96 land crusier, remember?????!!!!!!
My kiddo's have had the flu since last Sunday/Monday, but we are slowly recovering. What a bummer. Actually, everyone is all well, so I guess 4-5 days isn't too bad. It could have been worse.
Hey, Colleen. You coming to crop on Friday night????
Have a good sunday, everybody.
(so I didn't fool ANYBODY????) dang....
