Default Looking to view a LSC kit

I live in Fulshear, Texas about 40 miles west of Houston. I am considering the purchase of a Lonestar Classics competition kit. Anyone know of one in the neighborhood I could have a look at? I like the competition kit from LSC due to my height. I am 6'3" tall and understand that this particular kit will accomodate taller drivers.

Lawler,
Come to one of our monthly meets, you will see 2 to 3 finished LSCs. There are a few of us in construction in the area as well, various stages. We meet on the 2nd Saturday of each month somewhere around Houston. Sign up over on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Houstoncobraclub/ for the latest news. Someone will select a place and we all show up.
Most of the time it will be posted here as well, but don't count on it.

Mark

Cobra guy,
You keep referring to a lawsuit that no one has been able to find any supporting information for, can you elaborate? If you don't have any facts to support the claim maybe you should move on.

Just so that you know...I know of the lawsuit and the parties involved. It needs to run its course and that is enough said.

Thanks for the heads up, but lawsuits don't bother me too much. I have been sued before (property easement issue) and people sue other people over anything generally when they have no healthy basis for it. In my case, it was obvious and the judge saw it that way. I can only imagine that running a manufacturing business building custom products that there are a few who have un-realistic expectations and can never be satisfied. At this point, as a business owner, litigation is generally the best alternative to stop the bleeding. From what I am hearing, there are many satisfied customers out there who have not sued. Can't let one govern my decision. Besides, if the lawsuit is serious, I better get one while I can. If they go out of business, their cars will be worth more on the street. Still wanting a LSC Comp. Kit.

Lawler,
As Cowtown said, I'm fairly close by (in Texas terms) up in Conroe. Plan on making the Houston group meeting this month and you can see several make and compare for yourself. Keep in mind most Lone Stars are assembled by individuals not factory built so the fit and finish will vary. You can build a trophy winner if that is what you want.
I think you'll find LS owners really like their cars but are not afraid to point out the rough spots. As a whole most are drivers (and some racers) not waxers. You'll see that most are heavily driven and hold up well.
Oh, if Jay says there is a suit it must be true (just don't buy any land or bridges from him)

mbishop,

Went to the Houston club site and could not find a date or place for the next meeting. calendar was blank. Maybe it's just not there or I am blind! Nevertheless, I look forward to seeing the various cobras both daily drivers (my goal) and show cars.

We are not that organized. Stay tuned in the next few days and someone will step up and pick a spot to meet. It will be about 10:30 or 11:00am and we will eat lunch. A good bet is Hooters somewhere in the area, everyone likes the food there You can jump in and pick the place, don't be bashful.

Lawler, I'm not from Houston, but I like you already. Good answer above. Stop the bleeding; yup, that's usually how it goes.

I know several up here in Big D with a Lone Star, everybody I know is pretty happy with it. You'd be right and smart to go take a look at all you can at the really educational, boring meeting at Hooter's. (all you can as in Cobra's!!! )

Look forward to meeting you in Austin next year.
Kristen

ps. I would probably buy land or a bridge from Jay. As many times as he's pushed my car, I guess I owe him!!!!!
