Cool Fall Cruise

I ran across this article in the JAN/FEB 2006 issue of Texas Driver Magazine and thought this might be a fun cruise for the Dallas area members in the fall, when things cool off a bit. We could do it as one our first Saturday of the month meetings, or on a different day. Any interest? We could even allow our Harley riding buddies join us!

Maybe we can discuss this at some of our future meetings.

I just saw the new Texas Driver on the stand at Border's, and it has a nice cruise to Jefferson, too.
I wouldn't mind a fall cruise. Take a poll of sorts to see if the first Saturday is better, or intentionally NOT the first Saturday- for the folks that wouldn't do the cruise but still like the monthly meet.
sounds promising, anyway.

Sounds fun! But I can't stray too close to Bonham, cause that's where my mother-in-law lives and I'd get sucked in and might not make it out....
Just keep the accelerator down!

Default Good idea Jimbo

Hey Jim,
That is wonderful idea and had loads of promise! I like it and will definitely do it also if the "school thing" doesn't interfere!
Go for it! There is nothing like a good road trip!!!

Hey Jim (Mr. world traveler),

Just curious if there's still any interest in this road trip?
This is the time of year we need to get out and enjoy the (non rainy) weather.

David,
Thanks for pulling this up. Looks like lots of interest when it was first posted.

I agree we need to get the cars out and about and enjoy the fall weather. Alan and I were discussing reinstituting "Dessert Nights" for just that reason.

You know what? I'm in too. When? As mentioned by Mr. Dean, we could combine this with the Wolfe City show. Or is that too much for one day? If it is the 28th, I'll probably bail early. Daughters drill team spagetti dinner. Anybody want to join me???????? Ugh!

Unless I don't get my clutch fixed. Something went wrong when the car was dyno'd Friday. Estimated 440 HP before the clutch started slipping. They probably glazed the flywheel. Geeze, if it's not one thing, it's another.

Steve,

Where did you take your car to get dyno'd? And who do you get to do the work on your car? Trying to figure all this out. - Steve T
