Jay's rides. Just because.
alright, so I've had a little bit of fun this evening, pretending it's Saturday night, not Sunday, and that other thread is making me think of all of Jay's different rides. Ya'll got some pics of his uh, varied cars to post???
Hey, Jay, have fun with this, and feel free to add any pics...
The newest acquistion I know of.... the Mean Green Machine. 3 miles to the gallon!
does this count?? he brought it!!!! (a hurricane??)
the purty burnt orange Backdraft...
this interesting Auburn thing.... (with Bernie driving!)
the Purple Thing....
some 40 thing. Haven't seen it in person....
ok. now I know there is this Mexican Taxi thing. and there was a Kirkham in there somewhere. And i thought I had a pic of that pretty, shiny little black thing. Falcon or Galaxie or something... hmmm. where is it???
what else???

Okay, I will play
I put the digital camera on the charger this morning Probably will start adding pics on Tuesday. I have to more some cars around from one shop to another
If anyone wants an up close and personal look, on Saturday, August 12, the shop will be open for "the Red Hat Ladies" and their husbands Come on by should you want to for tea and crumpets, beer and wine, geritol and exlax.
Meanwhile an update to my car inventory. The orange backdraft has been sold but still resides there. The Hurricane at the flight museum was obtained by trading the Kirkham, then was traded for two players to be named later, one of which will be arriving this month.
Two junior dragsters are on loan for scholarship programs,,,kids have to meet several criteria to run these cars. It's a test program right now that we think has great potential to help kids plus purpetuate the sport.
The yellow car that Bernie is pictured in is no longer yellow...infact it is almost finished with a total makeover.
Stay tuned, more to come
Jay

Q, Thanks for the pics!
Jay, Love the cars, especially
That is one cool looking paint job! It reminds me of the WW2 Flying Tiger planes.
Cheers!

You should see the floorboard (or lack thereof). The driveshaft spins about 9 inches from your ankle. Yeah, right next to the ground passing by below you. The GTX is amazing. You don't see too many ~1000 HP cars with drum brakes all around.

Q,
Jay was talking about that at the London Show. It's really nice to see the pics, since I don't know the next time I will be in Texas.
Thanks again!
Cheers!

I'll bet there's a reason for that.

Kristen
Tha was my '64 Ford Galaxie 500 XL "R' code car. It has been residing in Garland while having a correct 427 placed into it instead of the 428. One of the nicest cars that I have. Looking forward to its return in time for cruisin weather and a few shows before it goies to auction.
By the way, a great time was had by all at the shop. I didn't count but think there were about 50 folks there during the day.

Jay, beautiful stuff man! You need to work on Sherrie for me. She won't let me spend our retirement savings on cars. Something to do with survival when I can't work some day....Huh?

Jim
I bought two engines from Don. The 351 just came off the dyno and is going into Hurricane 003. The 427 IS going into the 64 Galaxie after some changes.
