Default Say a little prayer

My father-in-law, Jim Stiff, has been diagnosed with advanced and aggressive prostate cancer.
In 1965, Jim raced his daily driver '65 Shelby Mustang in SCCA D-Production class in the Dallas area. His was white with blue stripes and raced under the number 06. He drove the car to the track, bolted on the roll bar (it was supposed to be welded, but we won't tell), unbolted the passenger seat and console (for weight savings), retuned the carb, and he was ready to go. He says the XKE's could out-corner him, but couldn't keep up on the straights, when he'd hit 140.
Please say a little prayer for our Jimbo.
Thanks

Lightbulb Prostrate Cancer

Miles,

Prayer is very powerful and your father-in-law will be in our prayers. BTW, I'm a prostrate cancer survivor although it was diagnosed in an early stage of development. Please let him know I'd be happy to share my experience with him and am available to just talk if he's looking for or needing that type of support.

Give your Father-in-Law, Jimbo, my best wishes.

Please remind him of Gary's Dad, Jim Woodward, and folks like Lance Armstrong and Jim Boeheim. Tell him to fight the good fight.

He will be in my prayers.

Dave

Prayers are great - I will include Jimbo in mine. I too am a prostate
cancer surviver, did the seeds, didn't need a night light for a while, and so far so good. Give him my best wishes and tell him to never give up.

Jimbo:
PMA! I've had lymphocitic lymphoma with 3+ years of chemo, 2 heart attacks, by-pass surgery, blatter cancer, and a lot of friends and a devoted spouse that said..."don't give up!...It's going to hurt a little, but with a Positive Mental Attitude and a total focus on a healthy future...you can beat it." I know, I've done it...my episode w/C was 1977...My prayers are with you. I'll be glad to share with you how I dealt with the fear of CANCER.

Jimbo,
Prayers are the best medicine available to man. I was diagnosed with Leukaemia 6 weeks ago and have had half the world praying for me. 6 weeks later my blood is in remission and I have just have to take tablets for the rest of my life - that is testimony to the power of prayer. I know your old man has a fight ahead but he must just put this into God's hands, through Faith then the victory is his (Phil 1: v18-27). I considered every prayer priceless and so you have mine right now. Do not look back, just ahead and take it on head first....
Be blessed
Charlieh

Another Cobra/cancer guy checking in. I was diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma 11/05, and since it is of the indolent (non-aggressive) variety, I chose to avoid therapy until last week. I'm now in a tough regimen of chemo, with the heavy side effects expected to hit within a few days. I have a good team of prayer offerers here in Georgia; more are always welcome. I'll add mine for your father. Medicine is good, but there's no substitute for a life-loving, positive attitude.

BTW, the Shelby GT350 was a B, not D production car. I know because I raced mine for a year in the NY area in the early 70s. It was strongly competitive in B (the car, not me as the driver), and would have totally kicked ass in D.
