6:45 it is, at McDonalds. I-30 and Beltline.
Thanks Jim, looking forward to it, but don't want to hold you up from heading down to Ennis, though.
A three cobra caravan would make for some interesting faces on the videocam.
Sorry for the delay in posting. The "office" has been a bit trying.

John - you are more than welcome to ride with me (I will need a waiver) if you would like. I'll have to go back to Forney before heading to Ennis regardless.

bigstew- it's opening weekend, but hubby ain't going out til the afternoon. Guess I got lucky.
Jim- meeting at the McDonald's works for me, because my brother lives right off of Beltline and Northwest, and I'll just go around the corner and get him, then hook up at the MCD.
looking forward to it.
ps. I didn't have to sign a waiver when i rode with you.....

good news!!!
I will not be there. The "big green mean machine" will be at the Mopar Mini Nationals in Garland for the weekend. My first Mopar experience.
If you are free, the show goes from 8-2 on Saturday and 9-11 on Sunday at central park in Garland. Garland avenue and Ave. f.
Would rather be with you guys but profit is not a four letter word
Got a great idea for October meeting and will post that later
Jay

It was a nice/typical turnout. 10 cobra's, 1 GT, and the coupe.
The weather was overcast, not too hot, and we hung around outside for a good while. There was a hockey team having breakfast, as well, and those kids (and quite a few parents!) really loved looking at the cars.
The Dallas crowd is really changing, and glad we have so many newbies that are coming out! Glad to see ya'll!
Glad Gary made it, even if he didn't bring his Cobra- but nice new truck.
Broke the news to him about Run 'n Gun.....
Anybody going with me????!!!!
Kristen
ps. Matt's baby must be getting him up really early these days.....
hey, Baldwin. We were only like 20 feet from your home (so I was told) where were ya?? China??!!!
Hope to see you again sometime soon!
getting ready to go eat...
yellow stripe guys (Jim and Jim)
these boys were enjoying looking at my car- then VRRROOOOM!!!! Chris Noland started up- now that got their attention!
I heard one boy say- "I know that's a girl's car- it has that thing!" (my 'pink thong' air freshener hanging off the mirror!)
We looked like monkey's at the zoo- all those little boys pressed up against the windows as we drove up!
They were quite excited.
ps. as loud as Chris's car is, what's really all the fuss about??? I mean, Stacy and Andrew beat him to breakfast- and she was driving a minivan! C'mon Chris, what do you really have under that hood???
(just playing with ya- )

Sorry I missed it. Alan left at 4AM to go to Abilene. Or was it Austin. Who knows these days. Anyway, I overslept and didn't get up in time to get over there. Although I guess if I'd gotten up with Alan I'd have just made it in time for the Early Bird special y'all prefer these days. ;-)

hi, Colleen! Sorry you missed it- want me to call you next time???
Actually, I think the 'early bird special' is over- Jay is taking October, and I imagine it'll be lunch, afternoon or evening. Breakfast is pretty much June, July, August, September.
Our group really varies- old regulars, newbies, then the next month different old regulars, different newbies. Change is good, right???
I know Alan is so busy right now. That is good! A lot of work is better than no work, I'm sure.
Although having David home all the time can be trying.....
How's the house coming along?? all settled?? put the other one up on the market yet???
seeya!

Kristen,
Couldn't embed them into my message.
Posted them at full resolution in my gallery though; my first gallery pics. You should be able to download from there.

Thanks
Kristen,
Thanks for the photo. After riding with Miles, talking with Jim (at breakfast and on the phone later) and numerous other folks, THE HUNT IS ON! I've contacted at least 5 sellers from Arizona to Florida. Also dropped by KCM and kicked some tires. I think I've narrowed it down to the manufacturer, age and price. So if all works out, I'll be driving one instead of admiring one.

Hey Steve,
Now is a great time to be looking. There are some aging listings on this website and on cobracountry.com where bargains might be found. Good luck and happy hunting! Remember, when you find a car, somebody, somewhere can probably tell you something about it.
When you're ready, Rich's Classic Transport is the way to get it here.

Well folks,
The planets and stars aligned and the deed is done. The deposit is down, and if all goes well Rich is scheduled to pick up Thursday and deliver by Saturday or Sunday.
There was a discussion about car insurance around the breakfast table a few weeks ago. Will some of you please make some recommendations? My current agent quotes were sky high compared to what some of you were paying.
Maybe I'll be able to show at the next gathering if my new "girl friend" shows on time.
