I love this drag racing, but I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL SPRING when I take the car to TMS to learn how to race it the way it was meant to be.

Steve,
That is getting on down the track.
It is roughly like a 12.25 & 115 mph in the 1/4 !

Ouch! I SO wish that photo wasn't that large.
If I need to wear that, I better work on the hail damage on my a$$ ! StairMaster tomorrow at 6am. Guess that answers the question about the footwear vs.underwear.
Steve, great video once again. Anything with SRV and I'm in.
Kristen, sorry about that malfunctioning little red light. With RT's up around .702, I don't think I have to worry about that.
BTW, was that a Kristen fan club I saw singing your praises as you left the track? I think those gents would have liked a ride in the sporty little blue car.
I wish we had video of us helping Brother Gym out. Steve almost ended up face first into the asphalt! (story at 10) Gym, glad to help. We've all been there and will all be there again.

Jim is being 'mysteriously quiet' about that little episode.... I was wishing it was on video, too!!!!
Pulled out all my slips.... i redlighted on two, clean start on the first one. Bummer.
My r/t on the first and only 'good' run wasn't too bad.... not as good as Run n Gun, but better than Tulsa. I was running by myself; guess i don't do so well with competition???
RT: .2254
1/8: 8.5624
MPH: 82.92
i had faster run times; but had redlighted.
at Run n Gun, i had a rt of .1 something. i was happy with that!!!
now if i could just get off the clutch....
hail on your a$$. now that is funny! i'm having a hard time picturing that....
ya'll have a great day!!
K

Okay Okay - for those who haven't figured it out yet. I had some electrical problems (still ran three races) and had to "beg" the whole racing team to give me a push. The biggest question was would I be able to make it all the way home. Glad to report that my little car ran great all of the way. Haven't had time yet to see what is the matter but am planning on looking at it tonight. Who's a good electrical guy/guyette in the club??
I must say that my favorite race was against our team captain Kristen.

What is going on?
It started as a simple day of drag racing... Then that BIG picture jumped out of the page at me. Jim Woodard, you may need to jump in here and get these guys back on a race track with curves.

Randy,
This thread has gone places I don't want to be. I think I'll stay lurking in the back ground and just observe. It does sound like you all had a great day!

Yes, Jim, please pull us back on "track."
Steve S. and I have already talked about how we look forward to zipping around a road course, the way these cars were intended to be slung.
I guess, maybe February-ish. Of course Steve doesn't realize that without a straight line, he doens't stand a chance against my superior driving skills!
Anyway, we look forward to joining Driving Experience on their next flogging of automobile and asphault. Give us a couple of weeks notice and we'll see how many suckers, I mean, participants, we can con into joining us.
Slowest lap time buys the drinks for the blondes!

sorry, Jim W., don't mean to offend!!! we were just playing around....
all 3 of the driving experiences i've done have been with TDE.
Remember my first one, back in Sept. 04??? at Motorsport Ranch.
and then two at TMS. I was supposed to do another one, but had trailer troubles!!
I'd like to go back to the new, extended course at Motorsport Ranch.
Any sessions planned for out there, Jim???
Sorry again about the digression.
kristen
ps. Miles, since they aren't 'races' the laps aren't timed. (unless somebody unofficially has a stop watch. )
