Larry, I can drive by Sat. morning.....how about 10:00?

It would be great if Don's car is ready to drive with us, otherwise he can ride along.

A few still photos in my gallery.
Jim, please pass along word to the fathers of those two junior Unique drivers.

Kristen, Vicki thanks you again for the drive across the lake. (The driver of that white truck has added the updated version of 'Thelma and Louise' to his Netflix queue). She asked me when would I be pulling the trigger. Quite astonished, I was.

Enjoyed the day, as did all of my girls.

glad i could oblige. it was quite fun, actually!! I'm glad she didn't wet her pants or anything..... rapid accleration from posted speed limit is quite exciting, but you know that!!!!
and that white truck just thought he was cool. dork. You know it's funny... I'm getting quite the reputation as 1/2 of Thelma and Louise. Didn't they go around killing men????
Anyway, all i did was tell her the REAL secret to having a cobra, and she was quite convinced it IS the only way to go. sorry, can't tell you what i said. girls only!!!

oh, and the other secret will stay a secret. At least til you've got Katrina in the garage!!!

Here's my photo from yesterday's get together...sniff....

Thanks for the info on Run N Gun Kristen, you've got me all fired up. Still in a quandry on the trailer.
Um, Kristen, the latest photo in your Gallery, is there something we should know? Is one Mustang not enough? You getting a bigger garage?
Well, back to getting dirt under my fingernails...

OK, it's not much, but here's a short film. Since I was more into talking with everyone, I pretty much slackeds off on my videoing duties. I didn't even get Jim's or my own car in the scene. Sorry Jim.

Couple of questions Miles:
1) When was the last time you swept your garage.?
2) Is that an Velvet Elvis on the far wall????

As for RnG. Fill me in soon. I might be interested.

Steve

Hi Steve,
Actually swept the garage last Wednesday, but had the door open most of the weekend and the 3 trees overhanging the garage/driveway are losing leaves in the wind.
Good eye - yes, peeking out over Annie is a velvet Elvis. You can tell my wife gave him a priority hanging location in the house! And in the upper right is an Elvis face from Chuy's. Haven't hung my Ford Racing clock yet.
The very full shelf in the upper right is all my Cobra "product." Washes, waxes, cleaners, brushes, etc. Hey, if the wife can have a whole linen closet full of product, I can treat myself to a whole shelf, right?
I got the thumbs up from the missus to trade Tulsa for Run N Gun last night. More racing focused than car show focused with a smaller group so I'm planning on it. Here's last year's website www.runngun.net
Jay's working on this year's site - there's a thread started under "Events."

TRADE?? YOU MEAN TRADE??? you're kidding, right???

Miles Miles Miles. You're doing it all wrong.....
3 events, buddy, 3 events!!
1. Austin
2. Tulsa
3. St. Louis

trading Tulsa.... hmmmmmm.

Tulsa has road course and drag strip, as well.
But... for the time on the track, yup, Run n Gun has 'em beat!!!
Tulsa is "Shelby Mid-America, all Ford Meet". Very very different than run n gun. Jay and I go to all 3!! (not together, altho' that would probably be smart)

you need some coaching from a real pro.... I just say 'honey...... you remember me talking about __________?? Well it's next month...."
hey, if i can do it with all these kiddo's, surely you can, too????

hahahaha!!!!
seeya!

Miles, If you attend all three, you'll be gone so much, can I apply for your job? Wait, change that.... you could expense it through your work as a project site search. Hmmmmmm... If you hire me for consulting, maybe they'll pay for both of us.

Kristen, When is the Shelby Mid-America? That sounds doable. Being a newbie, I'm not sure if I could swing a trip to St. Louis. Lot's of time and expense. (Damn college tuition)

Trip to Tulsa... Shelby MidAmerica.... 3rd weekend in June.

Usually it's the 2nd weekend. This is gonna be a problem. Father's Day weekend. bummer.

http://www.midamericafordmeet.com/

I'm gonna have to start begging now. I hate that!!!

There will be a post in All Cobra Talk before too long. I drive up on Thursday. Cruise to the big Sonic, Thursday evening. Friday, out to Hallett for the Road course. Saturday, out to dragstrip. Saturday night, banquet.
Sunday- Car Show (big) and swap meet. Come home Sunday evening.
There ya got it!!

Go back to June this past year, and year before that, and actually year before that. I have threads about all 3!
lots of pics and info.
k

ps. besides how poorly i did at Redline, here are the results for the dragstrip in Tulsa!

Cool

all sorry we missed you at the last meeting... was planning to attend but I am working on a Home Theater that is a bit behind schedule and was building cabinets all weekend

Stacey wants the house back together... it is a bit dusty in the house when you rip out all of the drywall in a room

http://thenolands.com/gallery/v/nola...06_Media_Room/

See you all in February
