Default Bill Cosby Last Night

Bill Cosby was on the Late Show last night talking about his SuperSnake. Later on Bill said something interesting. After returning his Cobra back to Shelby, he got Shelby to install one of his engines into Bill's old MG. He said that MG was so fast that he was blowing away everyone on the streets. People would come up to look at the old MG and all they could see was those wide rear tires. One evening Bill took his wife to dinner and the valet lost control of the MG and crashed it into a wall.

Anyone know about this MG and what size engine Shelby put into it?

The Sunbeam Tiger had Cobra engines installed but I haven't read much about the MG.

Default Dang, sorry I missed it!

This is almost the perfect story of my life!
I sure wish I had seen the interview, and this is the first time I ever heard of this!
I sure hope some other internet sleuth comes up with something on the MG!

RoushAC,

Thanks for the clip. I haven't laughed like that in some time.

As far as relations to our Club President, I have been asked about it several times. Perhaps some distant kinship, lets start the investigation here.

My family origin in the states dates back to the 1750s in northern North Carolina/Southern Virginia area.

Bill Cosby will perform in Huntsville, Ala on Sunday the 11 th. I bought tickets for my wife and I. Maybe he will do the Cobra / MG sketch. But what ever he does will be funny.

John, no big deal. I was just curious when I saw the surname.

Ed, that is a great routine. I got it from iTunes and put it on my iPod. I have an battery powered adapter for the iPod so that I can play tunes in the car (when it's not running ) and that gets played a LOT.

Everyone else, glad that I ran across that so you could enjoy it too. The old guy still has the magic of being one of the alltime great storytellers, doesn't he?

Cheers!

Dave (Roushac), please edit your previous post and remove the link to lbisunsets dot com.
I removed the video and it won't be going back up on my site.

Sorry about that, tfalk.

Someone emailed it to me. I didn't realize that it was a bandwidth and copyright thing.

Cheers!
