Austin 2007 Evening Schedule Ideas
All,
After last year we all talked about having a few "sponsored" nights...say Austin / San Antonio Crew was thursday night, DFW was friday night and Houston is Saturday night.
it sounded like a fun idea... but I don't recall seeing this this was still a desire. If so I guess we should start planning An alternative that could be fun are theme nights??? Matri gras, St. Patrick's, tropical vacation, etc.
Does anyone have any BIG Charcoal grills (the 1/2 barrel type) this could make tail gating that much more fun each night. I chip in my 5-10 bags to charcoal
thoughts? Figure if we don't do this Stacey and I are going to end up drinking with the Houston group all weekend (not that this is a bad thing)

Chris. this is what you get for missing the meetings!!!
Dallas has Friday. We are doing sausage and stuff.
Sammy is bringing a grill, but we either need a couple of more, or borrow from Austin/Houston. Colleen is going to make 'assignments', based on last name. Stay tuned!!
oh, and come to the meetings!!!
I'll bring an ice chest with stuff. I imagine Colleen will make a sign up sheet on a new thread.
Kristen

Margarita Machine
We still need a margarita machine! I can't believe that nobody in this club has a margarita machine. How many more days to go?
See you all soon.

friday night
Kristen,
yea I know... I did go to the February meeting
So what do we need for Friday night? I have a butcher near my house (Lewisville) that is awsome... they have soome great Brats... I can pick up a few dozen
So I hear grills... but does anyone have the big ones??? Just a few webers it sounds like. Are there any locals that know of places that might rent some.... also do we need to ask the hotel?? I think we did this on a smaller scale last year...so maybe it is not a problem.

Bwana Snake is bringing a bunch of sausages. I'm sure we need other stuff. It's posted somewhere...
A bunch of smaller grills, or a couple of big ones would be good. I'm betting the hotel would prefer several smaller. what's the burn ban/open grill restrictions in austin??
probably not a big deal.
I think Colleen will assign us stuff. If Houston is bringing any grills for Sat., then maybe we can borrow their stuff??
you were at Feb.??? hmmm were you late????

You can RENT a margarita machine...
Check around the Austin area. In most larger cities, someone rents margarita and frozen beverage machines. They can usually sell you the mix, etc. All you have to supply is the booze...and I know there's some fine tequillas in the Great State of Texas. But...to be sure...you don't need to spend a lot of money on 'spensive tequillas...once it's in with the mix one tastes about the same as the other. And since the final objective is to make Colleen fall out of here shoes again, I'm thinkin' that won't required Cuervo Gold.. .
Check 'em out...Google some of the Austin party stores...they're usually your best bet...or check out bar supply businesses. If I get time, I'll go look for you and post it here.

RoundRockCobra,
Sorry you couldn't make the get together at Dean's............we had talked about potato salad...............but, it was kinda nixxed.
However, on second thought, I think that would be a nice touch.
Can we take your offer to help with the addition of some potato salad?
Let me know................I'll put you down for that.
Looking forward to seeing you and everybody............THIS IS GOING TO BE GREEEEEAAAAAAAT!!!!!!!!!!
